Especially how it was delivered too. As to be expected from Keith David for reprising his role as the voice of Spawn. And props to Sylvester Stallone for doing a great job voicing his own character too.
@@cheesefactory4234for Micheal Jai White, it’s because they went with Keith David which basically everyone associates his voice to Spawn since he voiced him in the 1997 animated serie.
Spawn was a soldier before becoming a hellspawn for Malbolgia and even after ascending to the level beyond Godhood, somehow retains the ability to sympathize with fellow soldiers....
Rambo's been through Hell and back, told to do unspeakable things. They treated him like an attack Dog then set him loose. What did they think was gonna happen? Rambo's story breaks my heart.
@@Dillpickle1997 It's sadder than that. This is the story of a lot of soldiers returning from major conflicts. Starting from the Vietnam War and that's downhill from there especially with the War in Iraq and Afghanistan. There's still a massive homeless issue certain parts of the US and then there are laws that seem to ignore that particular demographic. It doesn't help that it also ties into drugs and how the social stigma of all this ties into their social standing. It's a massive spiral and the US political machine ignores it's own citizens for "reasons."
I like how in a mortal kombat tournament, these contestants see Rambo and they instantly try to become his therapist. They can see by the thousand yard stare in his eyes that he’s seen more death and combat than the tournament can handle.
Y’all have to remember that Spawn used to be a mercenary who lost everything when he was killed and sent to Hell. He knows what it’s like hitting rock bottom, and then going further. Spawn’s a real OG.
I like how when she found out that it was a person and not a god that made Rambo the killer that he is, she immediately said he must be punished. She genuinely wants to help him
Depends on which version of him is about to fight. OG Kratos Would basically just get into a chest beating competition . “So you fight with rage in your heart as well, let’s see who’s anger is stronger.” But Dad of war Kratos, He would probably talk to him like the ultimate therapist who actually knows how Rambo feels. “I have seen the anger that you hold within myself when I was younger, you must let it go.”
@@Celestial2107, I agree with all of you! While I haven't played the games, I have seen gamplay (I plan on playing the games this year). Young Kratos was full of vengeance, self-righteousness, hatred and grief. Old Kratos was more reserved, paranoid, still a bit angry but mostly wanted to be left alone.
@@facebookuser1653 nah a lot of them feel half assed. Most of them are either generic asf w just a couple of them being funny. This is coming from someone who 500+ hrs of mk1
He admits he was lucky. It was a privilege to be treated like a hero, and he’ll admit it. I know many Vietnam vets who were spat on, thrown bottle of beer at, pissed on, punched, thrown, insulted in the worst ways possible… it doesn’t help with the shell shock.
@@williamcote4208Yeah, Willie he was talking about Comparison between Jax Who Got treated By Hero When Back Home To Rambo who got Vile Treatment.. Poor Guy Those Hippie Assholes just Shoot the Messengers but never have a Balls To face against Government who makes them Like this.
@@HollyHartwellWhiteironic now that they are all warhawks now. I work with a guy who lived the hippie life........some of the stuff he says about the war in europes makes me just pause and be like "weren't you a hippie?". Don't get me wrong i am for ukraine but if part of you don't feel sonlmething for 18 year olds kids getting slaughtered so grandpa can get the band back together you need to reevaluate.
And to think just how many soldiers suffer from the PTSD of seeing just how cruel humans are to each other and try to cope with the horrors of war. My heart breaks for the ones who cant get the help they so desperately need and who see suicide as the only way to make their suffering end.
Also that one dude that vouced him in halo forward unto dawn was actually great for chief aswell, so if by any means Downes retires or something like that, I think that guy could replace him
That Rambo and Spawn interaction implies that Mortal Kombat Rambo is willing to go so far as to destroy Trautman’s soul in hell. With all due respect to the actor and their fantastic work on the character before passing on.
@@endoskel9262 yeah. Honestly, it's good that Rambo became such a liked character. Spoiler alert for the book, but trautman straight up kills him, while also dying himself. Like, damn. Such a brutal way to go...
@@thedredayshow9246 Trautman was alive and fine by the end. He Killed Sheriff Teasle and Rambo with a shotgun because they had mortally wounded each other.
If you see it closely, Spawn's eyebrow spot draws a sad expression when talking with Rambo, as if he wanted John to have mercy and stop hurting himself.
If Spawn is telling someone to go home, you better listen. The only people that Spawn is polite too, is his little girl and wife. So you know it's bad.
I’d say it’s more that he can relate to him because of their shared background in the military. And probably also because he can see John going down the same path he did and loosing everything.
@@williamcote4208 fair enough and maybe Al’s demand that John just goes home might be his attempt in saving the war torn, still human soldier from becoming another hell spawn for Malebogia

@@jacketandbeard8732 Exactly, Spawn would never wish his fate on anyone. He is eternally damned and he knows it, heck the Ultimate God of all pretty much told him he will never find redemption, no forgiveness, for his crimes were too great and the one who he needs to ask forgiveness from was not even born due to Spawns actions in his life. (If you do not know, Wanda tried to get him to quit one final time, but in a fit of anger he hit her hard.... in the stomach area. She was asking him to quit that night because she was pregnant, so Spawn killed his own unborn child and Wanda never told him, so to find forgiveness, he would have to receive it from that baby and he cannot.)
When the queen of a warrior race with dragon blood Looks at younand decides that the Things done to you to make you a soldier are fucked up You know that something in your life Welt wrong
There are so many levels in what Spawn is telling Rambo, but my favorite thought is that maybe Spawn is trying to warn John out of what he could become, that is hell’s uniform and that is something nobody should have to wear.
Spawn doesn't roast him, doesn't say something like 'begone mortal'... He just says, "Go home, John..." being super kind and understanding for him, even using his name. He respects the man,
Spawn is dissig every other person in the game but then there’s scorpion and John…and he’s just like “bro…go home and get some sleep, you got too much trauma.” Coming from SPAWN!! Listen to him! He knows his stuff lol
John has been threw hell and high water. Spawn telling him to just go home and rest. Is a sign of respect. He knows the hell John was dealt. Its sad and painful to watch but just so deep.
I think because of her view on protecting her own, she cannot understand how anyone can do such horrible things to their own kind. Plus she has seen so many evil doers who use and controlled others for their own gain. For someone like her that would is just vile.
Yeah you know it's bad when spawn tells you to go home and when Queen Shiva has a soft spot enough to tell you the person that made you must be punished😂
I remember people being angry that Rambo got added, and that having him kill like this ruins his character. They obviously didnt hear these intros or see his ending, Netherrealm took a surprising amount of care to not miss the point of Rambo and its very respectable.
Sheeva and Spawns empathy for Rambo always gets to me. Its one thing to choose to go down a dark path but to be forced into like Rambo and the psychological hell he went through just oof
He also voiced Goliath in the Gargoyles cartoon. It's not news since he's the OG voice of spawn and he voices a lot of animated characters and is recognized because of his voice
Alot of this does hit really hard. I know it's all fiction but, as an OEF/OIF vet and knowing what the Vietnam vets went through, it really does bring up some emotions.
That "Go home, John" was a slap in the face. I encourage everyone to watch First Blood, and read the book. The book is different, he kills 20-30 people before being taken down by Troutman. In the movie he causes the death of like 1 or 2 people.
"Go home John, you've done enough damage." The fact a demon of Hell is telling this dude to go home is extremely terrifying. That means the dude did enough damage that the demon doesn't even want to drag him to Hell.
When Spawn said go home John that hits me surprisingly hard seeing as I'm not much of a Rambo fan I have never even read one of the spawn comics yet damn the delivery of that line was just so perfect good on the voice actor for spawn in this mortal combat.
The dialog where it goes from one person to the next then back to the original person who started the convo was so much better than what they did in the new one
