I am not sure as i haven't gone that far. I'm guessing your meaning the stub shaft. The bolts on mine are very badly corroded and would probably round or just fall to pieces when attempting. If this happened I would try to drill them out of grind the heads off. If they are ok a simple socket should undo them fine. But a 6 point socket or spanner and plenty of penetrating oil first.
