mk3 jetta 1.8t engine swap ep1 

The 3.5 is a bit different on the wiring side, i haven’t done one of them. They have an mk4 style ecu already

Ever start that swap? I'm thinking about with my Cabrio.

Yes im using the aba rear mount, the second video is out showing how they ended up with the engine in the car.

@@SmithsEuro haha I probably should have just watched the next one... I did the same for my mk3.5 1.8T and also had to clearance the mount bracket. Just curious to see if you went another route. Also, subscribed. Love the 1.8T content. Keep it coming!

So I did a 12v swap in my mk2. I’m planning on running a supercharger. I already bought a short runner for it. So that’s just a 98 Beetle throttle cable?

@@dongreg5444 yup thats it. though in an mk2 the cable wont attach like the mk3 pedal so you would need the adapter from fabless to use it on your pedal set

It would look terrible in my opinion But its your car. Check on the vw vortex forums youll be able to find people who have done it and all their specs

@@SmithsEuro i got the engine + a 6 speed gearbox, all from an Audi A3. Total with all the wiring + ecu was 600€

@amorimgarage5329 will be tough for you with the 6 spd to save money I like 5spd cause you can reuse a ton
