I started this project around 3 Years ago with very little knowledge about working on cars, throughout this process i started to grow an amazing community on social media followers and decided to dedicate this build to a mate who passed away. After putting the car away in hiding due to a blown head gasket, a lot of corrosion, 6 different project cars and 1 year later, i restarted building this car but making sure i am doing it right this time.

WAY more brave than me dude. I'm just happy with the 7M-GE and keeper her nice. The targa top has been giving me absolute hell though.

I think a build b58 from an bmw would be cool. Cheaper as an 2jz but almost as powerloving. Edit: You should also put a single turbo kit on it. Just take the motor from a crashed one that has most of the damage on the rear end. Enough room should be there bc. the b58 has the cooler in the ansaugung. (Didn't know the english word.)

Hey man im basically in the same boat as you, just bought an 88 supra that didn't run. Engine was seized. Pulled the engine by myself in the garage turns out it was a rod bearing that got welded to the crank. Also the previous owner thought it would be a good idea to primer over the original paint lol. Also im an idiot and only labeld about half of my hardware.

Budget wise you could put a toyota engine in it. Maybe something like a 1zz or 2zz from a celica. And turbo it. They like it.

There's a mk3 here fully built just dereg and no wof for 2.5k and mk4 here go for 20-100k you usually find them 40-60k

idk what your angle is with the car but id say go for something thats not very hard to source parts for where you're from, if you got the big bucks to spend id say put something weird in it like a b series or something like that, keep it up dude u have my attention!!

i think you should give the 7mgte a chance they make great power and have this “beast like” sound to it compared to the 2j or 1j

As someone with 2 of these supras One of them is a 2jz na-t swap and the other im still debating. I was thinking either 2jz na-t, 1uz supercharged, maybe a 2grfse, or better yet a 2urgse
