Thank you aaand thank you for watching! And yeah I would always come across videos that either have the loudest damn exhaust ever or the exhaust was simple but they didn’t really present the sound under different driving conditions so I just had to post this.

One question Is it an Auto? The triptonic version?

Thank you so much :) And to answer your question, it is a tiptronic auto, for now. I currently have a 3.6L V6 with a DSG from a Passat that I aim to shove into my Jetta (along with other necessary components)

I have an Integrated Engineering ECU and TCU tune but it’s only Stage 1 stuff anyway. And yes the flow master swap was done for the center muffler (and the rear was swapped from a regular Jetta to GLI muffler) But there’s something I also mentioned to another comment here and it’s to keep in mind that the GLI is a turbocharged car vs my NA and your exhaust might be a little quieter with the new muffler (and of course the exhaust note is different). But the center flow master swap will definitely give you more output. I recently did a motor swap for the 3.6L V6 and also swapped my rear muffler for a MagnaFlow. Still two mufflers so it’s not obnoxious but it makes a real good output, I’ll be recording that soon

Aye thank you! So yes the flow master swap was done for the center muffler and the rear ,as you stated, regular Jetta to GLI muffler. Just keep in mind, the GLI is a turbocharged car and the exhaust might be a little quieter (and of course the exhaust note is different). But the center flow master swap will definitely give you more output! It’s funny, I just completed a swap to this car about 3 weeks ago, it’s now a 3.6L V6 (came from a Passat) and I replaced the GLI muffler with a MagnaFlow. I gotta put up a video on that soon!

Many thanks! I'm rolling on B14 Bilstein Coilovers, absolutely love them! These wheels were a 45 offset, I no longer run them though because I got some Rotiforms, same offset though. Currently waiting to see how the wheels fit with some 7mm and 5mm spacers on but they haven't arrived yet. Also, we'll see how the sound changes not too far from now, gonna shove a 3.6L V6 from a Passat into it

I just got the Flowmaster at Autozone, haha, it was just under $100. As for the GLI muffler, I got it from a parts car where the guy sold it for just $50. I then took the mufflers to a shop to have them welded in for like $160

In this setup, I had no drone or buzz whatsoever! I was super happy with it. But now I have a different setup as I have swapped in a 3.6L VR, lol. Only difference is I put on a MagnaFlow rear exhaust

@@gregorytsolo Cool! Keep in mind, this was a 2.5L naturally aspirated 5 cylinder. What does your Mercedes have?

It’s a 1.6 Turbocharged 7 speed DSG

@@gregorytsolo Gotcha, so because you have a turbo motor, your exhaust is likely to be a little more quiet compared to an N/A motor like mine. Now, I was just looking at some images and it looks like your exhaust has this big muffler at the rear with a single inlet and two outlets in a T shape configuration. Keep that in mind when looking for an exhaust to swap. I didn’t see much else about that whole exhaust system though, is there another muffler somewhere along the exhaust?

@@candyman9816 I have a shop that my family and I have always gone to for our exhaust welding needs. Great guys, all I did was bring the mufflers, they made the cuts and fits, then they had me verify the position of the exhaust before welding it up

I’m sitting on Bilstein B14 Coilovers, love them!! Side note, I swapped in an independent rear suspension from a TDI (since mine came with the solid rear beam) and am also using ECS adjustable rear tow arms to allow for a good alignment despite being lowered. Without the tow arms, the alignment was pretty restricted and forced me to have more camber (and tow) than I wanted and of course ate my tires like crazy.. lol
