I added the mirrors with the blinkers to my 15 Jetta S. OEM units off an SEL and I even found my paint code! Plug and play, no coding and they look SO cool.. Oh, they were junkyard parts, not new..
@@MK6CHRIS you just unplug the connector on your plain black mirror and then plug it into the painted blinker version mirror and it works! There’s no extra wiring required...
Hey Chris, thanks so much for all the great videos on the MK 6 Jetta. I got the 1.4T and have started doing some mods to the car. Quick question.. Did you remove the insulation hood just to hear the intake and engine a bit more? What was the reasoning behind removing that?

Bruhhhh you didn’t need to take the whole bumper off you can take the t25s out the 4 on the top and use a plastic tool to remove the side under the light and slowly pull it out super easy I have a 2015 tdi
That's what I thought! I tried and almost broke it a few times. Apparently mine is clipped in good to the bumper, so I had to take it off. That was easier for me.
I'm getting ready to do this on my 2016 jetta and I really want to avoid removing the bumper. Any tips? Ordered some plastic tools to get that part under the light. Still worried about trying to get the grill to pop out without the bumper. If you happen to see this I'd take any links to tools you used to get this done without the bumper. Any help at all is appreciated
@@ItsMasterMurray any typical plastic tool kit at autozone but removing the bumper on the mk6 is so easy I recommend taking the whole bumper off first look up that video I unfortunately don’t have my Jetta anymore someone totaled it by rear ending me so I switched to a civic si
@@Rareoddz any specific tools? I ordered some plastic ones to try and get it out without removing the bumper. Literally every video with the mk6 2015-2018 has the bumper removed so I'm glad to see it can be done this way
Jason R I was so concerned about that. But I actually don’t . The angle of the grille and how far the intake is back prevents the rain from getting near it
@@andrewpriola6908 hey the fog lights are actually a kit from ecstuning . It’s for those of us who don’t have them from the factory . The yellow is just some vinyl wrap . They’re normally clear
