I didn't think I was going to put a downpipe on this car... but welcome to my life! Here are some before and after starts and runs with the stock downpipe and the new Milltek with hi flow cat.
Hey CPO, it's your favorite former IT Project Manager from that place we used to work. I'm just minding my business watching Golf R videos when I see a familiar face. My mk7.5 R is still stock, but I'm getting the modding itch.
So the milltek downpipe with the HJS downpipe doesn't throw off cel, I get. But there's an option with the race high flow car which I hear is almost identical? What's the difference exactly, does the race cat bring up cel or is it just louder? Thanks😀
Such amazing content! I’m in the DMV with a 19 R as well. I’ve been looking into getting either this downpipe or a IE one. Do you have any plans for the rest of the exhaust? Currently I have a resonator delete which sounds great with the valves coded open, however I am hesitant about getting a downpipe with my res delete since I’m not too fond of the cold start sound with that specific set up. Any plans going down that route or catback options?
They have two types with HJS cat. For the golf 7R. Which one do you have? Is it the one with ec quality mark? ( when it has the ec mark it’s allowed for street use in Europe)
I live in maryland as well. Will a catted downpipe pass maryland emissions? I am consider this exact setup but am worried about having to swap it every 2 years to pass inspection.
No you either have some settings wrong so you run into a safety or high IAT so it is dumping fuel and cutting timing advance. Log to see whats up but make sure all setting are correct.
i found that it took a day or 2 for it to fully apply a map change, even after going WOT a few times it seemed to take a day to take effect. also weather affects things drastically, boost season is the best
The DSG fart is the result of ignition being cut but fuelling continuing, this is done to make getting on power after a shift quicker. So DSG farts will still be there after changing exhaust.
