I know this is an old video but I had to say that a car is not straight piped unless it has no cat, no res, and no muffler. That’s why it’s called straight piped. Because it is a straight pipe off the exhaust header or turbo.
Doing so will make the resonance or drone in the car higher, which might drive you crazy hearing a constant drone inside the car, driving on a steady rpm..
To everyone who said something negative about mans just stfu alright we get it it’s a muffler delete but he said straight pipe, he’s human no ones perfect alright like damn 👌🏽🙏🏽
hey man, I was wondering if it sounds louder on low rpms or high rpms? because i used to have a straight piped avalon, and that thing would me super loud on low rpms but not on high ones, and it would really annoy me to the point, when i would press on pedal more in order to hear less noise
Okay so this video made me want to do something similar for the suitcase muffler delete you only welded a pipe to replace.. was the pipe straight or did you have to curve it to fit into the exhaust tip/s? Like any trouble attaching the new pipe?
Well i bought the car used and it came with the AutoTech Exhaust. I initially had plans on buying an aftermarket exhaust but since this one was already 3in tubing i didnt need to. The only problem with the AutoTech Exhaust was that it was to quiet. So i could either spend $300+ on a new exhaust system or just remove the muffler for the aggressive sounds which cost me about $60~
Turned out pretty good then. I have a GTI, I`m thinking of trading it in for the VW Touareg suv. I love my car but it`s not very practical for my everyday. Especially if you`re tall like me and have other pretty tall family members, friends and relatives that sometimes get in my car. Will see what happens. Love my car though!
Cats aren't necessary on turbo motors as the Turbo gets red hot and negates the need for another system to burn microcarbons at extremely high temperatures. Natural aspiration needs this to be eco friendly because there isn't a red hot Turbo to burn the extra microcarbons.
