Good video production! I like the short, bite size length and keeping it pretty straightforward and explanatory. Thanks for making it!! I would try and explain glitches that someone from the community takes for granted but others might not know like the rapid fire hop or even what counts as an ultra shortcut. I'd also look at investing in another mic or figuring out what's going on there cos you get lots of 'pops' (look up a pop filter or speak further away from the mic) and it also seems to go in and out from left and right channel or something weird.
Tom Fewchuk thank you! for the mic, i will look into a pop filter and probably get one, and for the explanations, i’ll try to go more in-depth next time, but for now, rapid fire hop is a technique where you press the hop button every other frame (30 times per second) to get that weird bike effect. very rough explanation, but i’ll try to see if i can find any explanation video on it. and if you haven’t seen it already, check out summoning salt’s video on ultra shortcuts if you haven’t seen already, it gives a good idea of what an ultra shortcut is. thanks!

People mainly make it that long so you can understand everything and give as much detail as possible. I like watching both long and short, all that matters is that the video is good, informative, and interesting.

I only got back into mkwii a couple weeks ago, it's crazy how there's still a huge community online for it and how there's so much new content and discoveries being made constantly that's wild
This only peaks curiosity as what track is next to be broken? I have a feeling that Desert Hills has a few quirks with its checkpoint map to be possible. Like, after key checkpoint 1, you can use one of the inclines to hit a horizontal wall, aka the red block scultpture all the way to the "behind the finish line" area. On 200cc, it can be done with one jump. If you go oob, you'll respawn by key checkpoint 1 every time. Idk if this sparks curiosity towards crucial evidence of an ultra cut, but I guess something can be better than nothing.
Bleu Chicken Yeah! Sadly, DS Desert Hills will probably never have an Ultra Shortcut, since the last key checkpoint is more than 95% into the lap, and because you need to complete at least 5% of the lap to create an ultra shortcut, the shortcut isn’t possible
@@FlaminFunky Makes sense. But it still raises questions for the next track. Remember when we deemed Waluigi Stadium to be impossible? We improvised using super grinding and used a unique path. Shy Guy Beach's bomb clip was probably the most spectacular, because nobody finishes a race there in over 3 minutes to know too much about the bomb cycle. On top of that, no sane person would ever attempt a clip on one of those, they'd just think they'll explode and not even bat an eye. With this, we need to take absolutely everything into consideration. Maybe we could utilize the oob glitch on Toad's factory? The unique layout of bcwii? Who knows?
Waluogi could be possible too. I think if you glitch through the zipper instead of RFH you could do the dk mountain glitch but on waluigi, if that makes sense

This is a really cool video explaining a really cool moment in MK Wii speedrunning history! One small comment: the music at the beginning while you're speaking is just a little bit too loud. Not so loud that I can't understand you, but enough that the audio feels unbalanced. Just thought I'd mention it. 👍
In osu within the span of 24 hours the game saw its first 1000 pp (performance points) plays. Vaxei set the first with 1023 pp and then idke sniped the world record only a few hours later. These players were trading the #1 spot on the global leaderboard and also in the same week were the first OSU players to have accumulated over 16000pp in total. There were also about 5 900 pp plays and 13 800pp plays. Making it one of the highest performance week of OSU history. Overwatch saw many leaks and announcements that people have been waiting for for years. Role queue, new hero, new event, map queue and Overwatch League stage 3 finals saw the shanghai dragons (a team that went 0-40 in the first season) win and completely destroy GOATS (a team composition that has been the main team set up in the pro league for over a year) completely redefining the meta just after the developers announced that 2-2-2 would be enforced in the pro league in the next stage (GOATS is 3-3 and thus would not have been able to exist) the worst team in the league became the best team in the league and redefined the meta going forward.
We’ve said certain glitches weren’t humanly possible but then had been completed by a human later on. The weathetenko for instance. Long thought to be impossible for humans to do and then it was done. And then it was said you couldn’t do it 3 times in a single time trial. It was done.

I wouldn’t say they changed Mario Kart Wii forever like you did in the title. We already know about things like the 95% rule and all that shit. It’s just that they’re finding new strats is all. They’re changing the individual strategies for each of the 3 courses tho
All these and even still we’ve gained massive time saves on the sherbet land ultra shortcut. I’d go as far to say you could classify it as a new ultra shortcut of its own. Not even to mention the new toads factory ultra shortcut.
I’m thinking that the BC64 glitch is possible without rapid fire hopping, if you drive up the track, turn around, do a wall clip off the side of the rail to get onto said rail, then do the pole clip, I think you could get it to work
Dang. I made an entire script for a video like this after rSGB discovery, and when KC got discovered, I had to scratch it because I had to go to a week-long camp a couple hours later. Great Vid!
