Guess he pulled the fuse or made a mod because a stock w163 can`t spin the wheels that fast/long. The electronics are cutting throttle if you spin the tires (and it doesn`t matter if ETS on or off because you can`t simply turn it off completely - it just lets you spin the tires a bit more if ETS is "off").
@@amtrack5348 check my video of spinning the wheels for long (4x4 fun in the mud). No mods, and no fuse pulled - just ets off. But the car is well maintained
@@auto-funatics7147 I own a ML 270 CDI myself (2003 model). ETS will stop excessive spinning wheels, no matter if "on" (almost to none spinning) or "off" (a bit of spinning but it WILL cut engine power if you spin too much). No matter if in low range or normal too. You can´t take momentum with you in muddy sections because of the stupid ETS regulation - it will brake you down to almost a standstill. REALLY annoying in muddy parts or snow... almost got stuck twice because of that. I really don´t know why the same car behaves so different?
@@amtrack5348 Hmmm...that makes me think... I do have a Unichip installed. Although I didn't get/specify this detail, it's possible they disabled the limiters during the tune-up... which might have affected this limitation that you speak of. Truth be told, I got the car with the chip already in. That video was one of my first runs exploring the vehicle. I've since had it re-tuned, but will have to give it another go on that road to make sure that it's hopefully the same. Unfortunately we're experiencing a drought, so I'm not sure when I'll get the chance again. So, yeah - I stand corrected: mine is modded
