I replaced the block, but now the car will no longer rise. the compressor no longer turns on. I checked the fuse and it is good. do I need to reset something? Please help 🙏
@@sharrbeautycrouch8067 Hi, There are height sensors at the wheels. they measure a strange value because the car is on its stomach or jacked up at an angle. For me the solution was to play with the jack to a different height, and then the compressor started pumping properly again.
Before ordering the parts, you should check & conform the actual cause, you can check the air suspension by yourself, Just applied any shop spray and pushing the maximum height of suspension if any external air leaking you can see the air bubbles ,
@@mercedessportcarrepair1944 Discovered my problem, it was the airline on top. I used some soap and saw it leaking. I pushed it in more and it seems to be good now, thanks.
Hi mate thanks for your video we are really appreciate I have malfunction sign on my dash it’s 2008 w221 s class i can still hear and feeling compresor nose and working while i start the car but not rising the car as before my car still driveble but the front wheels too lowered do you think what do I have to do please i have diagnosed with obd it shows (5288 the pressure line system leaks) thank you very much
Airmatic compressor not working many of reasons 1st- electric Fuse , connector, relay, control units , some mechanical parts, During Airmatic compressor working noise Is audible, in ML 500 If you are hear the sound of compressor means compressor is creating pressure, 2nd - In ML 500 you can remove air hose which is connected on front strut with the use of 10 mm combination wrench, After removing air hose start engine and you can fill the air , If no air there Then you have make gap between Front Right fender and front bumper Then use 13 mm combination wrench for removing air hose which is connected to Airmatic compressor to valve block check air is coming If not Your Airmatic compressor is not working,
My car is a gl500, the rear suspension is completely down and the front suspension is good. Is it possible that this valve is the cause and how can I be sure?
If only rear is down First check rear air below leak and confirm with shop If no air leaking Check air line Valve block is responsible for distribution of air into individual shock absorbers
Great video , gave me much better insight . My issue is my ml63 w166 rides as in sport mode however I did not select sport or sport + when in normal ( comfort ). When I raise the car it does go up fully and I hear the compressor. When I shut off the car and lock it , I hear the compressor discharging air , front drops slightly . Anyone any input ? I’m thinking valve block as this video got me here . Thanks
Valve block is distributor of air in airmatic suspension . When airmatic compressor is working requires air passing through airmatic compressor to valve block to air bellow and strut . Now in your car when you lock the vehicle after your journey that time you notice Airmatic compressor is working by hearing sounds, It means airmatic suspension try to maintain level according to your selections like comfor, spot ,or sport plus , So first conform body level after park overnight it means leak in strut, Visually check all wheel gap between tire and fender , How to check valve block function without tool? If valve block is defective you can't increase body hight very fast , You can't decrease body hight very fast it's taking too much time for lower body level, When car body hight lowering no need to work air matic compressor, Because just releasing air form strut , If you can't understand, ask me. I will explain again
@@mercedessportcarrepair1944 thank you for your time to write a reply . Will see how long from the time I lock the car and days it takes to see front drop . I believe I see it drop soon as I lock the doors , I hear compressor ( I’m guessing ) discharging air ( like a blowoff valve sound on a turbo car ) and front drops a bit . Which I believe been doing that since I got it , rode fine until past three weeks .
@mercedessportcarrepair1944 so my car will stay up all night but as soon as I start driving like 10 seconds inn the front goes down is there a way of testing this?
