man, the memories on this game. I loved it because it was simple, no pay to win, no buying stubs. I remember having a guy breaking the HR record, then late one night, I saved my pitcher I made over that guy.... that was awful lol. I should go pick this back up.
If you continue playing this, I believe you get skill points for each individual category such as baserunning, batting and fielding and you don't ahve to spend on amount on all three.
The thing with 2k13 career mode is that, no matter how well you do, you'll never get to the majors. I played like 5 seasons in AAA and only got called up for spring training
In my MLB 2k13 career as a pitcher, I got the team to the world series and my player was set up to pitch game 7. Turns out through the simulation that my team won and it literally just had a simple pop-up window that came up saying "You have won the world series." No celebration cut-scene, nothing. A bit disappointing to say the least.
Hey Mighty, your videos are great and every time I watch one you make me smile😁😁 please continue this series in my player, I think that it would be pretty cool to compare it to your MLB road to the Show series
I miss these 2k Sports mlb games, but I don't miss the clunky looking fielding, glitches, and freezing issues. Always seemed to freeze when you were having the best game of your life. Every single 2k MLB game had the freezing issue.
Keep. On. Playing. This. Game. I absolutely miss this game! As soon as I saw this video in my recommended, I had to come relive some of the glory days. You, sir, have earned yourself a sub.
I remember maxing out the sliders and my speed stat so I could steal first to home on one pitch and the infield would just throw it around lol. The good ol days.
I'm pretty sure this was the game where you couldn't ever get into the big leagues and you had to keep playing in the minors. At least that's how it ended up for me. I'd play multiple seasons and have 1 call up during the preseason and then get sent down even though I was arguably the best rookie on at that time.
I still have it. I remember when I heard they weren't gonna be doing MLB 2k anymore I was disappointed for a while. So what I did for up to the end of the 2015 season I updated each roster. Sometime after that I must have accidentally deleted it sadly because the only save file on my copy is the default roster. All that effort in 2014 and 2015 now wasted..... :(
If They Did 2K14 They Should At Least Bring Back The World Series Baseball 2K3 Controls With The B Button For The Power Swing And A Button For The Contact Swing To Make It Easier For The Players
I used to play this game all the time in the settings you can set it where you hit and play the field and when you're on base it can simulate to your next building or batting
Love it, definitely do more of this! Also when fielding give your guy a second to slow down or stop before you throw the ball and your green and yellow on the meter will get bigger.
This game is like $40 bucks at Gamestop. I asked them why it was so much for being an older game and it’s because it was the last of the series and at the time the only baseball game available on the Xbox platform.
What sucked about 2k(2013) career mode is that it would glitch at around 5 seasons. Been awhile since I played it but I tried several times and would get to a certain point and it would not load my player any longer. It was some where around 5 seasons but I am not sure if it was a "time" or certain number of stats that had been reached before it would quit. I loved that game. Is "the show" career mode on xbox any good? The show 21 is really cheap and I am thinking of buying it for xbox if it is similar 2k.
When i was little i didnt know i could upgrade my player so i was the lowest level player i could br grinding the game then one day i found the section with skill points and my player was maxed in like 5 seconds 😭😂
Idk if I'd say iconic. I remember being pissed off for spending $60 on it cuz all it was was a roster update. Everything was the exact same as 2k12. The menus, no new game features. All cuz 2k was calling it quits so they would shell out 1 more game and be done. I do remember playing this game for years though since it was the last baseball release on the xbox
This is one of the rare games where i commited big time to the my player/road to the show game mode, i played 7 years and had sooo much fun in this game, make it a series plzzz!!
