I'm pretty sure the unwritten rule of "don't swing on 3-0" was when the team was ahead by alot (like 10 runs ahead). No one going to be mad at a close game swinging on 3-0.

@@buzbaboy when it’s 3-0 you know what’s coming…. Fastball down the middle. The hardest thing about hitting is timing. On 3-0 all of the guess work is gone and they all know what’s coming. It’s the best pitch to hit. They know it’s a fastball. Swing the damn bat

if they can't throw a strike then the batter probably wont be able to hit it out lol. Balls are much harder to hit out than strikes.

why is that cheap? is the same as having 0-0 or 2-1 count whats the difference with 3-0?

@@JC22pr because if you look at what MLB pitchers throw on average in each count, it is like 50-60% fastball in every count except 3-0, where it goes to like 90% fastball, so pitchers definitely are treating 3-0 different than any other count and you pretty much know what’s coming. Now I’m not saying you should never swing 3-0, it’s the pitchers fault that he got into that situation where he has to throw a fastball, i’m just saying if you are already up big, why rub it in? Just because you can doesn’t mean you always should.
