I remember buying these boxes back in the day and for myself they were one of the most fun rips I ever have done collecting sports cards. I wish some company would bring this same size and type of product back. Super fun rip for sure!!!

I'm a Yankee fan, so I would be stoked about the Homer Bush RC that was in the dare to tear card. The 1998 Yankees are the best team I ever saw, and off the bench in pinch hitting, ABs he got after coming in to pinch run or as a defensive replacement, he batted .380 with an OPS over .800 Not a ton of ABs, less than 100 I think. But as a Yankee for parts of 3 seasons, he was almost a .350 hitter. One of the most effective role players I ever saw. He was traded after 1998 to Toronto, along with David Wells and Graeme Lloyd, for Roger Clemens. One of the best trades in Yankees history given what Clemens did the next couple of years, but might be my least favorite trade ever because Bush, Wells and Lloyd were fan favorites and Clemens embarrassed the team and fans when he threw the bat shard at Piazza.

I miss these repacks. All this random stuff was the best, especially when you could decide which one you wanted to purchased based on the packs showing. Current repacks from Fairfield.....not so much fun.

2002 Select Rookies and Prospects. I remember that Donruss had used up all of their allotted products they could make for the year and wanted to release the product and MLB shot it down. So instead Donruss sold the autograph cards to repack companies and or inserted them into 2003 products.

That date to tear pack costs more than that box! Great pull, I got a Griffey z gold out of 100 inside a Clemens card back when they came out, the Griffey sold for 800 last year

Where on Earth did you find these in mint shape? I remember buying these constantly 20 years ago. These ones and the long/flat rectangular ones were a blast to open and had much more value compared to the smaller ones. I grabbed the ones with 2001 Fleer Platinum and 2002 Bowman Draft for the most part but even the non-traditional packs had cool inserts and parallels. Pulled some really neat stuff in these back in the day.

Not a huge fan of how they tape the packs etc (bonus thing too) to the inside. What a way to possibly damage cards before youve even opened the pack. :-(

I think you left a pack in the bottom of the box. I am guessing that you aren't planning to sell the cards or care about the edges and corners because you keep slamming the cards on your desk. Perhaps a "breaker's pad" for future rips?
