Probably the most difficult and dangerous position to play out of any sport out there. He is the field general nothing happens until he throws down th signal for the pitcher. and don't forget the has to have pinpoint accurate throws to first or second base.
My best friend in elementary school played catcher. In "Little league" the issue was most of the "power hitters" tended to let go of the bat on the follow through - throwing the bat - back towards the catcher.
Now that you've seen a bit of Baseball and (American) Football, I would like to recommend watching/reacting to George Carlin discussing "Football vs Baseball". I will warm you, however, that at a couple of places, he speaks rather quickly, so you will probably need to listen closely, and/or reduce the speed to 75%.
