Question for all the technical guys here: is there an official size for the basket of a glove?? I mean are you able to play with a larger glove than the other players??
It doesn't matter how large your glove is as long as it is anywhere from 11 inches to 12 and a half inches, infield positions usually play with smaller end gloves for better control of the ball in the glove and outfielders usually play with larger gloves for better coverage of the ball when it is caught. Of course catchers and first basemen gloves are different for their own reasons.
I took my Grandma to her first game, the first batter got a base hit and ran to first. Granny said why is he running, I said he hit a single. The next batter got walked and on his way to first Granny said, why isn't he running? I said he gets to walk because he got 4 balls ... and Granny jumped to her feet and yelled, "Walk proudly young man, walk proudly!"
At 9:40 the Astros player is about to catch Martin as he goes over the fence. I always appreciate it when a player's first concern is another player's safety, even if they're on the other team.
@@richardgladstone8975 I think I may agree. As someone who played a lot of CF in my day, running with your back against the ball and timing that dive/pinpointing that location perfectly is just inhuman. I think there are other plays that show off athleticism more than that, but the intelligence and experience that go into a catch like this is unheard of.
@@andyreid7274 one brawl over trash talk is nothing to me in all honesty and I'm not even a reds fan. The guys just a great player and I respect what he does, and not just him but the Red's consistency with those double plays and over all stopping a play at 2nd in general, shows excellent training, coordination and execution
Everyone else = 1 great play per video. Machado = 3 per... Brandon Phillips = 5x...no 6x...wait 7x...and counting...8x....nope 9x great plays per video = Because he's that good.
im from the Bay Area but Id go to Atlanta every summer to see family. I used to go to braves games a bunch as a kid but then lost interest and got into the warriors for obvious reasons. this videos is reminding me how exciting baseball can be. thank you
Let me question something do you know where you will go after you die? If not let me say you can have a choice to either go to hell or heaven see 2000 years ago there was this man named Jesus who died on the cross for our sins and rose alive 3 days later all because he truly loved us he died for us so I question you now do you truly believe in Jesus or do you live for the world turn to Jesus Christ trust in him Christ has way much more to give than the world he loves us turn to Christ!!
Brandon Phillips will never make the Hall of Fame. But he will make the Hall of Pretty Darned Great. If there had to be an "All Highlight Reel" Team, you'd have to list Kevin Pilar, Mike Trout, Omar Vizquel, Brandon Phillips, Manny Machado, and Yadier Molina.
