MLB Is CANCELING Trevor Bauer And No One Cares 

I second suing MLB. He is better than a lot of pitchers in the league and should be given the opportunity to play. Proven "innocent" and still being treated as "guilty". MLB, teams and media should all be ashamed.

I loved him in Japan...he was welcomed with open arms and his vlog content was just amazing...in the long run, think it would be good to do for him and for potentially changing MLB and Japanese baseball...he has really opened me up to baseball over there.

So I would like to know how many people enthusiastically cheered on Kaepernick being fired but now we’re furious that Trevor Bauer is in the same position.

As a Cardinals fan, I hate thinking that we really need pitching, see a good pitcher on the market, and decide "nah, we'll just go .500 at the break and hope to sneak into thr playoffs" rather than reach out to Bauer. The Royals are a perfect fit. Bauer would avoid the glare of the coastal media. At home he would play in front of a mostly empty stadium and the Royals have some experience dealing with a problem player after taking Chapman last year.

I think it's less the MLB canceling him and more the team owners and players saying he's not worth the negative fallout or bad reputation he brings. I mean, if the Oakland A's didn't pick him up when he was super-cheap (pre-Japan), no team is going to want to risk it. It hurts team promotional deals, marketing, branding, community reputation, etc. For instance, the Dodgers would never re-sign him, especially now that they have Ohtani, simply because Ohtani's people wouldn't want him answering questions about Bauer as they'd fear it might impact on Ohtani's reputation and earnings. So yeah, Bauer's probably done in the MLB, but it's coming more from the team management and player leadership groups worried about protecting their own investments than anything else.

I don't think he'll be returning to Japan. I think he'll end up with the Red Sox. Why? Breslow is new on the job, but not new to the league. Plus it sure seems to me that since he's been cleared of all charges....I don't care what Manfred thinks....he's a good to great pitcher who should be playing somewhere. I expect the Red Sox to pick him up cheap. They won't talk about it until it's done and NO, I have no inside sources on this, just a hunch/wishlist.

Michael Vick was welcomed back into the NFL, he didn't tarnish or hurt the teams he played for reputations. A guy who was falsely accused of stuff is not gonna hurt a teams brand, a little media frenzy at the beginning of the season and its over. Anyone who is still mad about it, obviously hasn't followed the story and probably doesn't spend a nickel on baseball anyways.
