I'm not even a Jays fan but I still tear up every time I hear "Touch them all Joe! You'll never hit a bigger home run in your life!" It's literally what every young ball player fantasized about growing up - winning the World Series on a walk off Home Run. The pinnacle of baseball. What a legendary call by Tom Cheek

I remember watching Kirk Gibson smash that home run and shocking Dennis Eckersley who was like the Mariano Rivera of his day. No one thought Gibby would even be available, and when Vin Scully said on the TV that he was nowhere to be found, he got up, told Tommy Lasorda that he was available to pinch-hit, and started taking practice swings. Gibby had injuries in both legs at this point, so he couldn't really step forward or push off during his swing without a lot of pain, and it's why he was jogging in such a janky way when he was rounding the bases. The play was one of Tommy's biggest "go big or go home" gambles, and the payoff is one reason why baseball endures in this continent: One swing of the bat can change everything.

Big Papi, game 2 of the 2013 ALCS. The Sox already lost game 1 to the Tigers’ Ace. Facing a series 0-2 deficit against that vaunted Detroit pitching staff. 8th inning, down 5-1 and facing almost certain doom. David Ortiz comes up with the bases loaded and hits a grand slam to their closer, Joachim Benoit, who hadn’t given up a single home run all year. I swear to God that ice ran through the veins of that man. That was one of the most epic, if not *THE* most epic homerun I have ever seen. It wasn’t a walkoff but it was still clutch

I would have ended it with Mazeroski. Carter’s team was trailing, but it was Game 6 and Carter himself was a strong hitter. Mazeroski was Game 7, and nobody would have expected him to go yard. Also, Boone’s Game 7 homer>Papi’s Game 4 homer. Papi’s started the 3-0 comeback, but Boone’s homer literally won the pennant in a winner take all game. And speaking of pennant winning homers, as much as it hurts me, I’m shocked Altuve’s pennant winning homer wasn’t here. It’s too iconic and recent to leave out.

Some of these calls I’ve never heard. For example, the Jon Miller call of Magglio’s Pennant-winning Homer.
