This game changed so much when the starting worker count went to 12. I miss the way the opening strategies allowed for so much flexibility. Yes the decision making here is suspect but still, so much less predictable than SC2 2022.
nah Serral is a much more complete player than Idra. Idra was very bad against certain type of plays, he refused to evolve with meta, his drop defense and allin defense and scouting were not good enough.
Maru was in this but not as good as you think he was. It's simply amazing how back at 2010 we get these kinds of games and now at 2021 we got full action builds and intense late games
Serral played back in those days. Used to play alot with his brother Protosser. But yeh, if they played with the knowledge of now they obviously wouldnt lose 1 game.
the thing to keep in mind here for newer players: back then when this game was played you actually needed to have an evo(lution) chamber in order to be able to build spore crawlers (anti air), nowadays in hots, you don't need that anymore and can just build a spore crawler anytime :)
MC had so many games where he lost a shit ton of units because he's not paying attention. :( it is crazy to see the skill difference between pro players 9 years ago. Great games though!
No I think the point of not saying cross-genre is that RTS like Sc2 ask a person to plan a lot more and to multi-task. FPS require more spontaneity, leadership skill (in teams).
depends on how u view it fps are more on reflexes where as RTS rely on staying calm and making decisions while at the same time not falling behind in ur economy
@Reileyje probably because starcraft 2s better known and rts on the pc is much better than on console. But essentially in structure they're very similar.
I didn't realize I had to explain myself after so many people already have. I've been playing FPS for almost 13 years now and I just started playing SC2 7 months ago. The skill level of the higher players in undeniable. In FPS, you can easily cheap 1 or 2 kills off really skilled players with a bit of luck but in SC, there's no way you can touch higher level players.
I still don't understand why MC doesn't just sacrifice the lots for the hatch at 23:30 ish...why attack the queen and lings? Just move around the hatch, kill lings only and kill the hatch no? And why he doesn't kill it at 29:00 ish is...weird?
i said the same. but now that i'm thinking about it i think he was trying to kill the queen and lings and then kill the hatch, but didn't think on how many lings he had...
@Buzsta360 The amazing written quality of your comment left me breathless. Also, stating that I don't like Idra is by no way a troll comment. I'm just stating the I don't like the player. If I could add anything more , I would say that I don't like him because of the attitude he has. Ragequits are not something I enjoyed nor something I will enjoy. On that note, have a nice day and be cool , life is too short to fret and fuss about everything.
Watching this in 2020 wondering why didn't MC went for the wall on the low ground but then I realized that it doesn't have the ravine all maps have now at days
