MLP “The Blockywockys” (TYT S2 special) review

Well, Addy and I don't always agree. I do think her reviews are more genuine than some others in the community, though.

Yeah, the last several episodes have been good! They really should tone down the magic stuff, though.

It doesn’t seem thematic to her character.

Would've liked to see *real* sea ponies with sea horse tails and stubby li'l fins...

The I.D.W. comics are not canon (they only get a "heads up" from HASBRO about the future toy line, they will NEVER "talk" with the writers at Atomic Cartoons). . Hippogriffs did not had cutiemarks. -> Destiny is likely a unicorn (a pony in "sea form", probably born that way). This is why she recognized one (stories about her ancestors). . The ability to swap forms between "land" & "sea" was originally in a single powerful artifact (the "Pearl of Transformation"); but it was splitted into 108 "shards" (the royal & noble families of hippogriffs have 1 for each member); it was only a matter of time before a few dozens will be inherited/given/sold/stolen; ending in the hooves (now fins) of ponies (seaponies). -> Unless there is a nearby island/atoll, the Jade Sea is probably a "sea form only" comunity. It could be the case that in the past, the few "Shards of Transformation" they had available were taken out (either on purpose, or by some renegade/traitor ex-seaponies), leaving the rest behind "stuck" in the bottom of the ocean.

I approve of all of these. G5 is much more promising shipping grounds than G4 was.

I like part-time alicorn. It’s a key point that the protagonist of G5 is an earth pony after how badly they got shafted in G4.

Sunny might be getting used to the "alicorn" status. As if this were now part of her entire life. Personally, I would like them to give her the option of whether or not she wants to be a "full alicorn." And if She accepts "immortality", at some point, I hope that's her decision.

(Just imagine): That you could create (& more importantly, "poof" out) many "ghost squid tentacles" that are longer, faster, better gripping than your flesh arms & fingers. ->This is how it feels for Sunny [she was born & grew in a non_magical, all_earth_pony community... just like you, muggle human!]. The flying thing is "fine" for her, but it does not really impacted in her day_to_day life [only because she was a master roller skater].

Same level of skill (I guess that’s a good thing? I haven’t played it.), but a very different feel, please.

@@PeacePetal It varies WILDLY (as much as ALL pony thing made in the last 40 years). . What "...dude" is likely referencing is some of the best storylines (or rather, the most famous released in the last 10 years; reviewed everywhere on RU-vid). -> You could check out the World of Warcraft videos in Lily Orchard´s "A Glass of Water" youtube channel (she is also a horsefamous transwoman like you!).

I wish they would bring back Comet, but I think kicking off TYT’s arc with the last MYM episode was not entirely a bad thing.

I made a whole video about Sunny's character recently, and I explained why the smoothie thing is good for her character. It's not like she doesn't have other things going on. In TYT S2, it looks like one of the big directions for her character is her loneliness as the only alicorn, and probably the eventual discovery of Skyros. This wasn't an episode about Sunny. I don't understand what you're complaining about.

@@PeacePetal it’s honestly getting painful tiring hearing people make the same statements about Sunny. The unnecessary comparisons made with her and Misty while trying to make her look like a bad character compared to Misty. Her character is not the main focus with this episode why is this person even upset? I don’t want to disrespect anyone so sorry if I sound rude.
