@@amandaslough125 its because the show had to give them something instead of just manual labour. You need to see applebuck season to see how meaningless their strength was. Watch the hearts warming tale to see how they were treated. They were the plebs, even their leader was a moron. Sunny doomed their entire race to servitude again. Sprout had the right idea, at least they were equal. The other two just couldn't handle not being special

@@jamesk8654 kinda agree? Sprout did have a point though he is definitely going about it the wrong way. The argument of earth ponies having magic through being stronger is kinda out the window now, (look at Izzy able to drill through a tree in seconds)

@@adrianen4644 Izzy can do anything, same as pinkie, though it made more sence since she was an earth pony. And Izzy was just a pony with a horn at that point.

Posey was being obnoxious, but her concerns about magic were NOT totally unfounded.

Every person could've been better if they had what they want, so she became. You can't just say she admited herself being wrong not because of the magic thing, because you made no argument why you think that way.

@Vivec's Vassals Posey doesn't have Fluttershy's color scheme. Fluttershy has Posey's color scheme. Posey has been around since the 80s, and Fluttershy was based on her. Fluttershy's mom doesn't have a name, she's just known as Mrs Shy.

What would happen if Posey was similar to Sprout? Would it be awesome if we saw those two as a couple in the MLP G5 universe?

@@NikoZguri yeah I think this special was hard-core rushed because it's really quality inconsistent, hopefully that will be solved by the budget of a full series.

Plus this is supposed to be a follow-up to G4, a show that catered to kids and adults.

@@NikoZguri I think it gets more hate bc of how it’s set after the events of G4 and everyone basically just died and not all that much bc of the inconsistency like people grew up with G4 it’s a huge part of some people’s childhood and if it’s a kids show why make it so dark??? It really felt like I was the only person who saw this perspective. Yeah I don’t think the story was told in the best way but she’s not just being ‘selfish’ and ‘annoying.’ A bunch of foreigners come to her land and they have all of these powers while her people have nothing. Who wouldn’t be upset about that? And all the ‘powers’ that earth ponies had could be replicated by unicorns who could also do a variety of other things. Even in this series, I doubt that a trained unicorn couldnt do the same things that these new earth pony powers can do

I think that the ending of the movies can be kinda justified by the fact that, for his entire life, he thought that it was the right thing to do

She actually played such a small role in the story that not only would I not consider her a villain, but she's barely an antagonist. She was horribly underutilized.

I don't want Posey to become completely selfless. The problem was that she went too far in the direction of selfishness, but then rather than being pulled back into the middle, she stayed where she was at and made people think she had changed because she wasn't angry anymore, but really she is only acting that way because she got what she wanted. So her extreme level of selfishness remains the same. I don't disagree with the point you made, I just don't think it applies to Posey.

Speaking of Big Mac, I am pretty sure Spout and his mother are descendants of Big Mac and Sugar Bell and don't know it. Imagine their shock when they learn they have a tiny bit of unicorn in their ancestry. I also think Posie is a descendant of Fluttershy. Imagine her shock when she learns there's a tiny bit of pegasus in their ancestry. Now I really want a story where they discover this. It would be really interesting to see.

Like I've said in other comment sections, Posey *is* being obnoxious in MYM, but her concerns about magic are _not_ unwarranted.

But if an individual whose species had certain talents and they no longer have them, then it's not equal true equality comes when people or ponies on this case realize there are differences within certain ethnic groups within a race or even differences between male and female and they decide to work together regardless of those differences or even using those differences to an advantage for the betterment of society and themselves. To force a handicap on another isn't equality it's a crutch and it will only make things worse and bring the entire species down, there's a reason why love is preferred over hate because hate will eventually destroy a species while love will allow it to prosper, it wont be easy but it'll be worth it after all it's so much easier to hate because it's easier to point fingers and blame others for things that you're not willing to change or work hard enough for, or that are not even possible for you and you're just jealous that someone was born with a certain thing that you weren't this also applies to the real world which is the reason why the world's in the shape it's in too many selfish people that want everything and are not thankful for the little things they have, if the Earth ponies create the food they have the ultimate power because everything has to eat without food you starve and die so therefore the Earth ponies have the biggest advantage and even in our real world those pulling the strings really enjoy controlling the food because pretty soon they're going to be the only one's saying when and where we peasant folk can eat. Sprout wasn't on to something he was just jealous and selfish and it's because his mother did a bad job at raising him, but he was a cool character, after all if they decided to hate each other they would all end up dying because it looks like with magic being back it would just end up absorbing them all in some sort of abyss, or possibly even something worse. I guess what I'm trying to say is true equality comes from within and when you know you are at peace with yourself with who and what you are and your abilities and your limits, which you accept with the understanding that it is something you cannot do so don't worry about it and then others are also on the same level about themselves and they accept who and what they are and then y'all work together to create a utopia where even if one person is at a disadvantage somebody else is there to replace the disadvantage with an advantage but sadly it rarely works that way and people go back to bickering and fighting over stupid stuff.

@@jamesk8654 She didn't betray her species she simply United them, as Earth ponies, Pegasus ponies, and Unicorn Ponies are all of the same species, Equine. The ones with wings or a horn are simply different variations of the same species. Now if you're talkin about Sunny star Scout giving another species such as say a hippogriff or a griffin or a Minotaur or whatever more power than they normally had then you could say she betrayed her species. I don't see how having Magical abilities brings one to the bottom, if anything the HWE episode showed us that through challenging times with friends you become stronger and can survive a dangerous challenge, sure they could have just stayed stagnant and not gained magic at all and continued to be weak living in fear, you don't understand this is true in life that suffering creates strength and when one is lazy, stagnant, and refuses to learn or adapt they in the end become weak and will eventually die off, imagine if an incident similar to the HWE event occurred regardless of how it could happen or if it was maybe technologically induced instead of magical when they didn't have the ability to use magic or work together, the outcome would have been different.

Indeed she does, in fact it would be funny if Posey had the same voice actor as Chloe but thankfully she doesn't.

Now if only they used these examples instead of her just saying: "I just don't like it when you pegasi fly too high up."

@@Star_Strike That was the dumbest complaint ever. Too low I understood. Too high is just making Posey a b!tch for no other reason than they need an antagonist because Sprout doesn't exist until the video game came out or something like that.

There are certainly characters that are designed with the intention of not being likable. I would say it's possible that Posey could later on be called out for her jealousy, except for the fact that by the end of MYM it was treated as though she had changed and everypony were now friends. The writers do seem to want us to like Posey by the end of the special, or at the very least not dislike her.

It's not the same character, though. Look at Rainbow Dash in G3 and G4.

There are moments in the special where you can see the characters use their mouths to hold things, like in the scenes where they are cooking. I guess that the animators knew about the Velcro hooves thing.

My point is posey couldn’t trust the Pegasus and unicorns. It is fear that she is letting it control herself and it leads to destruction as always.

You don't need 40 minutes to write a character arc. All you need to do is give a character a flaw, and have them overcome said flaw. Friendship is Magic did it in 22 minutes, and Tell Your Tale does it in 5. 40 minutes is more than enough time to write an arc.

He actually started another communist war or nearly did when HE was having his hissy fit! And just being a total "Mommy's boy" throughout the whole "A New Generation" pilot movie. At least with Posey, you can understand her reasons to an extent. Sprout was just a joke of an antagonist. So much so, even his mom all but disowned him at the end and he's currently on the run in "Tell Your Tale". And Star wants to call POSEY'S arc weak and non-existent?! Puh-lease!!
