As someone who watched this whole thing go down from the sidelines in the cord. It was overall just a few petty disagreements that evolved very quickly into finding the information presented in the video. The small purge seemed cordial everything seemed fine. Only for a couple hours later to walk into the same fire once again fanned by Joey. If you wanted to talk shit on us at least use some facts like normal right? Why go on Twitter and just lie. Why take it to this point? The truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth was presented in this video. James has always been kind as hell to every regular in that chat and even to Joey himself. And for Joey to turn heel and try stepping on other people's things with blatant lies. That's pretty pathetic lil bro. Idk what’s true or not, but I sure don’t mind moving on from a creator that spreads lies,hate, toxicity. MMA is a beautiful sport and we should be better than that. Everyday I feel like Lucas Tracy is the overall best thing to happen to mma youtube

I did like Joey for awhile, but he always claims how he is a critical thinker and not biased, but nothing could be further from the truth.The guy lets his dislike of certain fighters contaminate his brain.He just piles on certain fighters in a grotesque way.And I don't even like those fighters, but I respect their skills and rights.And he is like a shock jock, using controversy to grow his channel or it's the left right divide, either way, I don't have time for dishonest actors, difference of opinions are fine.People take it personal because of difference of opinion.If we all had the same opinions we would never get anywhere, because we are as far away from perfect as possible.

First, James was always respectful to Joey regardless if they agreed and James would often congratulate Joey on RU-vid milestones. Secondly, I have never seen any Belal/911 talk nor have I ever seen any racial slurs in the discord. If there were, they would have been called out by myself and other members... there are so many good, solid people in there. Ridiculous and shameful behaviour from MMA Joey.

Joey is a complete hypocrite, who says he's about that life and is a critical thinker. In reality all he does is bait people with made up narratives, act like he's some special bastian of truth and snap at anyone who thinks differently. He's Luke Thomas without the marine background. I told him this in his chat when I pointed out he was lying about Strickland, Covington and over exaggerating some truths, while covering & making stuff up about other fighters. He blocked me on twitter when I pointed out that literally everything he accused James of covering for, people being racist, relating Belal to crimes from the past he had nothing to do with and going off on people who do nothing wrong is stuff that certain fighters have done that he not only ignores but makes up narratives to demonise the people who are being targeted. The guy is a complete fake and a fraud, bet in a million years if anyone offered to debate him he would decline and call them names, while sitting his safe space.

I used to subscribe to Joey but he’s the only creator I’ve ever unsubscribed from. He started tweeting contrarian takes just to get attention, and I couldn’t see him as a credible source of information anymore. The guy is trying too hard to be like Guru but doesn’t have the funny personality in order to do so.

@Atlas92936 - Read the reply's on here from several Discord members. He's making all of this up. There is nothing out of line in our chat and it's a fun place for everyone. Joey just hates me and feels the needs to make things up to fit his agenda.

"When you invent the ship, you invent the shipwreck" In other words, RU-vid is a great platform for people to build their own brand and provide a living for themselves, but with a very low barrier to entry (smart device, email address, and internet connection). I am not sure what Joey's background in journalism or this industry is, so correct me if I am wrong. But it seems like this type of behavior is what you get when anybody can get a name for themselves on RU-vid. When push comes to shove, the ones who treat this as a profession will separate themselves from the layman. That is no hate on Joey, but there does seem to be a lack of professionalism in just moving on not creating an emotion response from this situation. Also - props for taking on dad duty like that.

This is so disappointing. You don't know me but I have a decent following on Twitter (or X), used to have a much bigger following before the old owners of Twitter banned my account for "inciting violence" all because I use to post my UFC predictions on Twitter & my prediction was that a fighter was going to get knocked out (which he did) but I never tagged anyone. It was just a prediction and I lose literally over 10k followers all bc of that and now because of it, I don't even try to get followers anymore bc I was worried it would keep happening and just wanted those following me who are cool people who want to chat MMA. But where I'm going with this is, I was wrong at times back then as well and I'd allow people to upset me and I would say things I shouldn't. But you are the nicest guy in the world. Your interviews are by far the best in the business. You don't even know me, (or even follow me back on X, damn you, jk) but I've been a loyal supporter for years. And I've always felt that your channels or content no matter who you would work for at that time was criminally underrated and ive always felt you deserve to have the type of views that the MMA Gurus of the world get, who's literally willing to do the craziest things just for a tip on a live stream like he's a side show or something and these people are willing to say the most vile things about fighters or come out with content "proof that Jon Jones is gay" and MMA fans are so awful that they would rather contribute 100s of thousands of views to that type of shit, rather than interviews with fighters the week before they go and fight on these big cards. It's insane to me. And you have always been a person who is willing to help others. You have created videos, literally giving instructions on how to get into RU-vid and what's needed and how to do it. You have taken your time to do that when you don't have to. You have given advice to aspiring journalists or RU-vidrs and just so many things. I know I'm all over the place here, but it's just really upsetting as a long time fan that people would treat someone as kind as you are, who actually contributes positively to the world of a sport that has saved my life, but more importantly, contribute positively to the world in general as a good man who's just a family man trying to provide for his family covering (with dignity & respect) the sport we all love so much. Again super disappointed that these are the type of people who get the views and who are willing to trash a good person just for more views and clout and I'm sorry and I will always support your work wherever it may be. The problem in mma media space that there are genuine journalists with actual background in reporting backed by research and education and would be journalists (or cheap youtubers) who are maligning the art of journalism. The twitter and youtube space have given rise to these so called experts - who manipulate the space given to them and talk crap and there is a large section of audience who are willing to follow them just to vent their frustrations in their life. Its no surprise that MMA joey came up with this - because it give him more clout and views and sadly there are people who will be joining on this bandwagon. James, I unsubscribed from that MMA Joey poor excuse for a human being let alone a reporter because at some point I was watching him in his live chat and was interacting as I normally do and at some point, I said that he is probably Top 5 RU-vid MMA channel’s after James Lynch, MMA Guru, Lucas Tracy, and I think that was it. So I actually was being commentary of his work and he immediately got butt hurt called me uneducated and other names and blocked me… I was honestly shocked but then I saw, before I exited his chat, someone else asking him why does he care so much if someone doesn’t think he is the best to which he replied that he does not, after which the person proceeded to ask him then why did he block me, and he said with a straight face that he didn’t… and I’m not even exaggerating I wasn’t trolling I mean you know I have never been disrespectful or rude in any of the chats you’ve seen me on but that Joey has serious insecurity issues and overall, after thinking about how he approaches content and some of the titles he makes for his videos, I was wrong to put him so high ranked - in fact, he is garbage he is a really slimy individual and all he does is for clout… just sharing my personal experience with that liar and clout chaser.
