If you watch the first interview with barboza after the fight was announced, he said that he is gonna train the same way he always does and that "he loves fighting off his back". That would be a regretful mistake.

i don't know about barboza by decision. i would expect him to probably catch khabib with a knee as he shoots for a takedown, but as the fight goes on, the chances of khabib getting a hold of him only grow.

Khabib can win by KO/TKO, submission or decision, while Edison’s only chance is really by knockout. It’s hard to not bet for Khabib in this fight.

My heart is saying Barbosa with a devistating body kick. I don't care what they are saying, this is gonna be another rough cut for Khabib, and a couple of Barbosa body kicks are gonna put him down. Plus his kicks are so fast, it's not so easy just to catch one, his switch kick is lightning. I got faith in Edson and his kicking game to get the job done. Khabibs unreliability has ruined me as a fan of him.

Khabib is a great fighter I am a fan. I think he might win. But since i have seen his other fights, khabib always keeps his head down when throwing punches. And if Edson catches that he will get a kick to the face. But I have heard he has improved so that should not happen.

I believe that Khabib is going to win but I must say too many underestimate Barbosas ground game. The real problem for Barbosa is his stamina. Khabib will wear him out as Barbosa is explosive and that will cost Barbosa the game. Grappling wise I can see Barbosa exploding out of a takedown or grappling situation - even with Khabib - early in the fight. It's the third, fourth time that is going to be tricky. Because the more energy that Barbosa wastes wrestling he will lose in his striking as well.

Im a big khabib fan and ive said theres no one in lightweight division that can beat him but theres always that lucky shot outside of that barbozas best shot is low leg kicks from the start that way harder for khabib to wrestle for 3 rounds but if khabib can grab him it will be a repeat of michael johnson fight

After seeing Johnson lite khabid up in the beginning of the first round in that fight I think Barbosa can do the same. He has better striking all around than Johnson good movement if he can keep his distance right,stuff a few take downs Barbosa win easy. If he cant keep khabid at range then it be a short night for Barbosa.

mma math tells me edson looses a decision .. badly. Ofc styles makes macthes , but even in styles edson is underdog. I cant see how edson can win here. OHis only chance is to submit khabib when they on ground, i dont see that happening either. So hi sonly chane at winning is a lucky ko ( lucky casue even though khabibs stand up sucks he donest leave openings for more than a split second before taking you down, only a connor could take advantage of that, Edison is more a muay thai guy they dont have that pro boxing reactions ), the smartest thing edson can do is use footwork to dance around khabib all day long and jab, ankle kick his way to decision win khabib will get frustrated with this if done right. I dont think he has the cardio for that 5 rounds, if he does then we have a real fight here.
