MMM Cessna post crash, Maiden flight

Not much success with this plane. Cheap, chunky and hard to fly. Crashed on takeoff at Victoria Park Adelaide a week ago. Broke the prop and ripped out one of the receiver aerial wires. New receiver and prop, and re-calibrated NX3 stabiliser. Success. ‪@modelmakingmaniacs8600‬

Yep. Our old mate stuffed his into the ground pretty quick - par for the course for him! 😜 The young Ukrainian fellah seemed to be able to fly his fairly easily but, for us Old Farts, it might have been best to sand the wing join for a little bit of dihedral to help the stability. 😉 Congrats on getting her rolling again. 😊

Pretty happy with the flight after the crazy panic getting it trimmed. Then landing and adjusting the elevator push rods to give me more down elevator. Also removed the limits on the trims so I had a bit more room to move after adjusting it. Next test is ground takeoff.

Thanks for the comments. I'm looking forward to getting a successful ground takeoff rather than a throw.

@@modelmakingmaniacs8600 Actually our old mate got in several good ROG takeoffs on Sunday. Just had to correct the stabilizer servo correction directions and put in a slightly larger motor. Worked a treat! 😉 The stock motor would've been plenty - if he hadn't bent the shaft! 🙄😁
