MMN64HD vs MM3D Comparison - May the Best Tingle Win 

The plot twist followed by a casual "I'm gonna try and do the 3D one, too"... Dude, you are INSANE. (Incredible work. Insanely incredible) And not enough can be said with how you present these texture updates with your sense of humor. It's not annoying, and doesn't distract from what you are showing.

So now we can have Tingle with both the higher quality model and the higher quality textures... The ultimate Tingle?

I'm a big fan of the current N64HD project, so I hope you continue to give that 100%, but if the next thing you want to do is update the remake, I doubt many of us would object. I for one think a blending of your version of the N64 art with Grezzo's 3DS style might just be the best look for Majora's Mask, so I'm totally on board

I've been playing Majora's Mask with your texture pack recently. I did beat the 3D version and beaten the original many times. Majora's Mask with the texture pack is my favorite way of playing my favorite game of all time. Thank you Nerrel I really enjoy your videos as well.

I know this video was released a while ago, but I just stumbled upon your channel recently after your video comparing Majora's Mask 3D to the N64 version popped into my recommended. Seeing you talk about the restoration project in this video and the last on Zora swimming made me thankful that I got homebrew on my 3DS a while back. I just set up the restoration mod and have been LOVING the QoL changes. Thank you so much for covering the progress of this mod, as I wouldn't have found out about it if it weren't for you - I can't wait to finally enjoy MM3D like I did OoT3D!

this is the only channel on youtube for which i watch every single video & genuinely await every upload with real excitement. this whole project is inspiring & shows incredible commitment and integrity, both artistically and in its overall production. please make both versions of the pack if you're able. your "somewhere in the middle" art direction really brings out the best in both versions of the game. you should feel very confident in your work and proud of your progress. keep going!

You are doing God's work, man. Not just for the textures, but also for doing such a good job with this video. It's honestly a great, and probably the quickest, resource with which to learn more about how to make this choice (N64 HD vs modded 3DS remake). I'm probably going to use both of these mods (yours and Project Restoration) on my 3DS copy the next time I replay this, which might be soon, so from the bottom of my heart thank you! And I'd say do what you want as far as the art style differences with some textures. I've seen a lot of what differences there are (like the Astral Observatory, or how underwater looks at the Great Bay), and honestly there is not a single instance where I prefer either version. They're both good. I just wish that I could use Citra to toggle some 3rd mod that can make the lighting darker again, and play around with both aesthetics like I did with Halo MCC.

I would love to have these textures on the 3D version. I think the 3DS Polygon count fits the HD textures much better and with the added improvements this would be my go to version

Personally, I’d rather get the N64 HD textures finished and as true to the original as possible. Even with the QOL changes to the 3D version, I’d rather play the true original with updates textures.

Props for doing both versions. I imagine having already done one version means most of the heavy lifting is done. I'm so glad you're porting the textures to the higher poly count version.

Please do a MM3D version at some point. Right now with the emulation of the 3ds being what it is, I still prefer the N64 ver. But I think in time with better emulation and modding of the game, the 3DS ver will be the best option; when that days comes we will need Nerrel textures. Thank you so much for all your hard work, Majora's Mask is my fav game of all time, and you have really breathed new life into it.

I love the loyal-to-the-64 art style you keep to in the hd. I feel like the darker but still vibrant (like the original) is crucial to MM's vibes. Thanks for working on this ! Who all do I need to donate to haha

YES please finish the N64 version. That's your baby man, and it'll help preserve the original Majora's mask visually for years to come. Having it on the 3DS version is awesome and I'm so happy you're working on that too! I have only played a little bit of Majora's mask and I have been waiting for your project to complete before moving on and beating it entirely

i've been playing the restoration mod and it's great! zora swimming and deku hopping + spinning are actually fun now! it'd be amazing to see your textures with that too. (i'm playing it on the first 3ds hardware and an mm3D cartridge; i dont even know if it can hold all these hd textures but it'd be neat xD)

Just focus in N64, that you made this far, take you deserve vacation and continue with calm the 3Ds, people need to support this guy instead of Nintendo, because he is the person we need for this awesomes HD games, he knows what we need from the start. I just checked out the restoration project too and wow it looks good. I personally didn't have a big problem with most of the changes they made when I played on release, but moving a lot of the touchscreen actions to buttons will improve citra play considerably!

I am absolutely all for you also doing the fixed 3DS version as well. As you said, it truly is the best of both worlds. Updated meshes, your updated textures, and reversions of 3DS mistakes to what they should have been! I could easily see that being the way I play MM from here on out of that version is completed. Until then though, I will patiently await a full release of your 64 HD version. (And now to find out how to play games on my TV even better again)
