Dude that driving was still much smoother than being in an actual Hong Kong taxi... trust me. i speak from experience. regards from Hong Kong...keep up the great work.
Thanks Will, appreciate you watching brother... they done a good job replicating the Toyota Crown Taxis in HK with this one, i think it would of been heaps better being All Wheel Drive though. Cheers and have a good weekend bro 🍻
I love the lock of this taxi. It's a really interesting idea for a drift car. It's unfortunate you can't get the gyro dialed in exactly but maybe if you are able to find a slicker surface it'll work better. Either way, i like this car.
Thanks for watching Ryan, yeah the gyro unfortunately is way to sensitive even with the slightest input of the steering, it opposite locks too much in the other direction
What would you recommend I get for my first rc car that is high quality? I like rally, drifting, and offroad. I don't have a ton of space for a 1/10 scale rc drift car. My budget is 350 usd with battery. What would you recommend?
I honestly think you could with the rubber tyres, especially when worn in a bit. I unfortunately can't make anymore videos with this drift taxi as I no longer have it in my collection
What is the total width outside of wheel to wheel. And what is wheelbase? I would like to put a different body on this car. Thanks. Sorry if I missed it.
the steering angle is yuge! maybe the gyro will perform better on the right surface. even concrete skate parks are too grippy for this kind of drifting, ya want a smooth workshop floor, or tiles or vinyl flooring. Some the docks at a yacht clubs have nice large smooth concrete areas, I haven't scoped south of perth near where u fly but I doubt ya'd get any bother if you tried to run a car in there
-32.003359, 115.845104 looks like a concrete area in their car park in SPYC -31.984766, 115.823595 I've run in RPYC before, has a very convenient access gate on the public boat ramp, its very nice especially in the wet
i also have this car, it has car horning sound when it runs, how can i switch off the sound? Also, can you tell me how to change those tyres into drift ones? thanks
Really nice review Dave! I think This is as cool as old heck! I really like the tight turning radius! If they ((MN - Could get a better working Gyro), they are sure to sell boat loads of these! I love taxi cars too. this was a unique body style to go with., with some very nice touches in making it look like the real thing! if you couldn't get this thing sliding, then there must be something wrong with it! Hopefully MN see's this video! Have a great week Dave
Thanks for tuning in Robby, always appreciate your comments and opinions, I like the look of this model as well being a JDM taxi, but it was definitely challenging to try keep a constant slide due to the gyro being overly sensitive compared to many other drift cars I've tried. Maybe on a really slippery surface like smooth concrete perhaps would perform a lot better. To me it seemed much better and more enjoyable to drive on the road tyres and wheels. 👍🍻
Completely wrong surface for drifting. This was painful to watch. Trying to decide if worth buying but can’t find a good review. That thing should drift like an rmx 2.0
Yeah well I mentioned this surface isn't that ideal at the end of the video, but that doesn't take away the fact the gyro on this rc is way too sensitive. I have drifted other RC's on this surface (awd not rwd) and had no issue drifting and maintaining a slide. Thanks for watching.
@@PERTHWESTOZRC if your not well versed in rwd drifting then you will find out that surface was no good for sure. Awd is more powersliding than drifting. The gyro is doing its job if it was on the right surface
