Never forget that these guys are musicians first and comedians second. This is really beautiful! I love that MB is bringing these old Hollywood scores to new audiences. The Hitchcock/Herrmann collaborations were classics. The romance, the melancholy, the mystery is there in the music along with feeling that something is not quite right with the Jimmy Stewart character in Vertigo.
