This song was blasting in a jeepney whilst in the Philippines around mid 80’s. Loved it, and bought the vinyl back to Australia. Still in my collection.
Back in those days I was just about to enter my teenage years, and I spent many late evenings scanning the Medium Wave, listening to radio stations from other countries.....radio stations that were so much better than the dire BBC's dire Radio 1. The Dutch stations were easily the best ones I could pick up on MW. And that's where I first heard this song. Almost 40 years ago now. I was a child then, but hearing this track puts it as fresh in my mind as it was four decades ago. The nostalgia is amazing! 🙂
This song become a hit in Calabarzon because of Asian Highway 26 from Calamba City to Matnog, Sorsogon as Puteri Indonesia-Filipina Highway/Miss Indonesia-Filipina Highway/Puteri Indonesia-Bicolandia Highway/Miss Indonesia Bicolandia-Highway with the length of 470 kms
I was in the Philippines when I first heard this song. that was around 1986 of summer and it reminds me of my grandma reprimanding me from playing this song too loud. Now I am here in Wisconsin USA and I smiled when I heard this song again.
--- I was living in Bangkok in 1985 also when this was popular and I too wanted to know what the musicians looked like - they do not look like I expected --- 18MAR22

It was Sunday night and I was driving home, tuned on the radio and heard this song for the first time. I like it so much that I have to search for the lyrics and here I found it 😎♥️
I've long wanted to see the band performing this song and it's great to finally see it here. Classic, one of the best songs ever and the video brings back memories of that great time. Linda Bloemhard was a cutie. :-)
Amazing that those synthesizers from the 80's didn't need electricity 'cause non of them are plugged in. Still the Mo was a great group from the Netherlands in the 80's. I loved listening to their songs.
