The music with this scene at 2:01 is just so majestic wow. Then the intensification of that same part at around 2:12, the crescendo and increase of percussion goes do well with that moment of Wei Wuxian losing himself in that moment and going all out costing many lives. A lot of them had it coming considering they wouldn't listen to reason, but it is unfortunate they had to die as a result instead of learning from their mistakes. Then again, cultivation society in general aren't the most reasonable group of people once they have their minds set on something. It makes for a fascinating story. Also, this part at 3:12 where he is suddenly moving and covering his face looks so elegant? Especially with the music, it looks like he's dancing in an anguished way and I find that amusing and also beautiful.

Jiang Cheng did not kill him; He would have but he didn't. Wei Wuxian lost control and the corpse army he controlled devoured him.

@@direalnessa no, at least in the anime, Wei Ying kind of blew up during the time when Jiang Cheng and the other sect leaders came to kill him. So while you are right that his brother didn’t kill him, he was not devoured by his own army, (unless I have understood this all wrong). You could stay his brother had a hand in his death. He was part of the battle that drove him over the edge and then BOOM!… more Yiling Patriarch.

@@CosimaEthosdeiAmira i believe his power or “energy?” Rebounded (like lan wangji said it would) and it caused him to be devoured by the corpses he was controlling. It was either the novel or donghua that said that I forgot but he died in different ways in each version so both of you are right lol
