Kenenisa Bekele....absolute legend, perhaps the greatest ever distance runner. The way he held off Kipchoge & Lagat was tremendous. Love & respect from an Indian fan🙏🙏🙏
Bekele run 2.01,41 2 seconds shy from Kipchoge wr just couple of weeks ago. Bekele was also injured couple of years on and off. Let's see,but i rate Bekele number 1. Kipchoge 2,then comes old Haile The GOAT.
@@jonsinkkonen9393 how do you rate a person number 1 for having the second best world record and the person with the world record as two. That is just bias
I am crying crying and crying whenever I see Kenenisa.....................You are the historical man......You deserves a special dignity......My bro Kenenisa you are my hero......May the almighty keep you healthy....You played a crucial role to promote the name of Ethiopia.
You are right! Ethiopian Runners keep their country's name in the world headlines! Incredible! How few athletes can build a country's brand name and good will!
Talent is a dangerous word, I don't like when people throw it around to be honest. These guys have worked hard their entire lives and have been running since and early age, this sport IS their life. So to just chalk everything up to talent is corny at best.
No wonder why Kenenisa Bekele is the legend. He beats 1500.00 sprinter at the finish line. Proud of him. He is the hero true model for hard work and determination! !
The black people are the super race of athletics. In chess, no black people had ever won a world championship, or even having great grandmasters. They may have International Masters.
Hahaha, it's ridiculous bro. When I run 5 K in college athletics, I use 20 minutes and now, someone who run 13:55 is the last in the race. What a world!
@@christopherukundo4883 It definitely is ridiculous. A 20 minute 5k is actually very respectable among the standards of us mortals, but for the elite athletes like these guys they run very fast speeds.
@@valar_dohaeris7387 I am from East Africa and in each race I participated in (2019-2020) here in University of Science and Technology of China, it was always ending with a respectable time of 20 minutes with some seconds. I like participating in college athletics and before I run, I always come here to observe some of the useful technics from the best of the best runners pictured here.
@@christopherukundo4883 Yeah its definitely useful, and to a certain degree mesmerizing to watch these guys. They're Technics are quite something. Well, good luck with your Uni studies mate and also on the track too!
Those 4 gentlemen have made me love and appreciate long distance running even more. I'm such a groupie fan currently. These boys really push the 'limit'
Mo has never been able to run with the likes of these greats. But he is such a great championship runner when these guys aren’t there. But mad respect to the greats: Bekele, Kipchoge, and Lagat ♥️
Thank you so much for not listing the finishing places! I hate the channels that tell you the winner in the video title! It completely ruins it! So thanks again 😊👍
that is not official. london marathon could be official. it was simulated and no drug test. also those shoes were questionable. but that does not mean he cant do it again. with beckle vs kip and farah thrown inn. it gets as bad as it can be!
@@burr69 marathon professionals and fans do as it is one of the toughest under-taking as a human being! And to be world-class at anything deserves respect! it is an incredible and serious undertaking where you put everything on-line. and you dont do right, it can be punitive on both body and mind. so it is a tough test, however you look at it. ultramaraton are high risk events and need medical clearance and your ack for risks involved. so it is not a walk in the park.
KENENISA BEKELE...un as del atletismo....una inspiración para muchos jóvenes q quieren iniciarse en el fabuloso mundo del atletismo....soy un fans de este atleta...saludos desde Santa Cruz de la Sierra- Bolivia
@@RobinLundqvist that's what I thought. But given, I ran XC, indoor track and outdoor track all 3 seasons, for all 4 years of my high school days. I stopped running and training intensively after HS. I graduated HS 2008. I was still able to run a 10k at 7:22min/mi pace. I didn't do much training. Besides 2 miles per week for 3 weeks prior to the race.
Bekele had been so dominant back then that no-one in this race would've thought that this would be the final championship of prime Bekele... If he comes to Tokyo and medals it would be a miracle
there are no Kenyans who represent Uganda. actually its Ugandans who go to run for Kenya. most of the names which start with CH are sebeis from kapchwora in Uganda
So you didn't know that the Ugandan Sabins are Kalenjins who were transferred from the Kenya Rift Valley by the Colonial government to create space for British farmers in 1927?
@@evonrn2000 kipchoge is on top? with what his 3 world/olympic titles to Bekele's 9? not including the 11 straight that bekele won in cross country. recency bias at its finest
A msomali kenya is here. Yap kenyan's athletees are something else kkkkkkkkkkkkk. East Africa Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya are the back to back champions of long distance winners
@@ahmedceyni9344 you were but now. And you were only 2 times . There are many east african better than somaliland. Do you know what you said. Ethi, kenya and Soma.... You can not Somalia compair with them. There are also another east African countrys that better than yours. But it is good to be proud of you. Otherwise look your level.
Nice quality, thanks for uploading. Bekele being far from peak performance at this moment (you can see how he is struggling, and not as comfortable as other sub 13 races) nevertheless still winning strong!! greatest runner ever.
yup...Farah did the 26:49 10,000m before losing the 5,000m to Edris this last year and was an excuse on why he lost. Interesting that Bekele's 10,000m and 5,000m were both faster than Farahs...including the last 200m where Bekele did a 26.1
blindguardian1979 sub 4 final mile in the 5000 for Farah tho. Why must you debate who is better? They're both great and it was Farah's last track championship anyway
Red Goose aren’t you also comparing by saying Mo did a sub 4 last mile (which Bekele has also done plenty of times). Anyway, why? It’s fun to compare athletes and although I agree Farah is also great, I think he’s a step below Bekele in many ways
200m to go, Kenenise Bekele kicks hard from the front, Lagat is still there on the inside, Kipchoge looks as though he hasn't got too much left, Kipsiro of Uganda then Kurili, Lagat the big threat, Kipsiro coming on the outside, Mo Farah starting to disappear, but here we are, the big battle for the title, the defending champion Lagat, 1500m speed vs 10,000m strength, whose gonna win this? Right to the line, Bekele's gonna get it, strength outlasts the speed, Bekele is the double champion, what a race from the two of them, brilliant, brilliant brilliant!!
@@lt-tb4pc Lagat is a beast but their's levels to this long distant enduarance racing I put Lagat at world class one of the best long distant runner to run but Bekele is not human, he held that pace from the start sprinting, he may look like he was jogging because of aerial view but when the camera gets close he's actually sprinting the last 6000 meters or so, this is a special guy with a special talent.
Crazy to think that 10 years after this, bekele and Kipchoge do amazing in the marathon. Especially Kipchoge becoming the first person to go under 2 for the marathon.
DANIEL KOMEN ran 2 miles in7:58 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3000 in7:20 !!!!!!!!!! Bekele could not get near these times but brother he was king of the 5000/10'000 metres !!!!!!!!! And cross country !!!!!!!! Definitely and for a while the MARATHON !!!!!!!!!!!
ce petit monsieur Bekele est une immense personne dans le monde de l'athlétisme ...dès le début il se poste devant, mais alors surtout il a des cuisses dessinées comme celle des cross-man et pourtant c'est déjà un monsieur qui promet avec l'endurance !
Too bad he is micro dosing EPO.... It is not humanly possible to run sub two hours without doping and 26 people pacing you and allowing a draft.... People are gullible. Great feat but it is smoke and mirrors. Show me an athlete that allows doping controls all hours of the night 6-8 weeks before a major event and if they pass the controls I will believe the “new endurance records”. Otherwise stop plugging this stuff as a “new record”.
I'm very thankful all member of your team who makes the historical moment of this type game. I'm very surprised to seen the moment inter national just like world Athletics. Thanks to all.
lionel lionel no !!!! Berkeley is king for 5000 10,000 metres and world records hicham is 1500 mile champ !!!!! Hicham won the 5000 in the 2004 Olympics very good!!!!!
mehdi karpov what is hichams best time for 3000 k 5000 k 10,000 ??? Daniel Komen is world record holder for 3k and Berkeley holds the others!!!!! Hicham could not get near these times,,, go check it out !!!!! The 1500 and mile 2000 metres belong to guerrouj !!!!!! They are both fantastic runners and still hold record holders !!!!! When all is said and done Kenya KENYA ETHIOPIA MAROCO all African!!!!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!
Senesask galtoon In marathon (only marathon) Kipchoge is much better than Bekele. His best is 2:03:05 and Bekele's 2:03:03. Apart from that Kipchoge has won 8 of his 9 marathon runned and a 2nd place. I also think tjat Kipchoge with decent conditions can easily break the world record, not Bekele's case.
Respect to Bekele , Mohammed Farah , Lagat and Eluid and all the distance runners infact... This is where true athletism shows, no drugs or ped enhacement works here. You have to tear your heart and soul in training..
yeah but running is so hard if you run properly (to your max pain limit) you are close to vomit or even pass away for few secs this is how I feel sports like football etc are more fun
Big respects for our kipsiro from Uganda who finished 4th, I feel he has been the most displined and professional long distance in Uganda before cheptegei, his only FAULT is that he existed in an era of gods,. "bekele, kipchoge,lagat,mofarah...."
