As a long time Moor, Fab Rat, Trail Mater, and Robbies (and some others) channel, I was most impressed with you guys and your mini jeeps! Pucker factor when Trevor rolled. And it still fired up! Dang! Good catch Rory! 👍 We had a hell of a good time as always. Oh yeah, George's disco helmet is hilarious 😂 Keep the adventures coming guys and TRY to be safe out thar!! 🤠🧑🦰🌲🌲 🎼
Love the channel and seeing the @trailmater crew providing backup on your shinanagans. I look forward to more awesome content going forward! Do you currently have hours that you sell merch from your shop location?
I did Hell's Revenge last summer in my 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. It's great to see this video and remember the fun I had. Looks like you had better weather too. It was 108℉ the first time I did it, and 110℉ a few days later when I tried it again, but had to bail out close to the start when I realized I left my water jugs back in my hotel room.
I love your channel SOOOO much. I always find myself grinning from ear to ear without even realizing it... Still kinda shocked Rory didn't fab/weld/whip something up on the trail for George!!!
5:15 - we used to have sleigh rides, but behind a car. You know - we had one person sleighs attached by a rope to a car (sometimes one, sometimes 10 sleighs) and depending on who was driving the car (responsible adult was going max. 15MPH, but friends older brother was going as fast as 40-60MPH - he was grounded after parents found out) we had this thing in out mindsets all the time: If you are the last sleigh - you are... In the worst place when it comes to corners - you were all over the place. If you fell off - you only had to be cautious of trees, rocks and stuff all around you. But if you were NOT last, you had to jump to the side ASAP because if not - other guys will hit you. Now it is illegal here in Poland, but it was 90s and 00s for me as a kid, and these are fun memories. It was pretty safe in my area - no woods near roads we were taking, a lot of snow back in the day and drivers were going max 20MPH But here you can get an idea why it is now illegal: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pbZZPJxHBCc.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TaaVgq-On5k.html Typing this because this scene of Tucker falling brings back the memories of winter and snow for me for some reason :D
Well if this isn't a very clear indication that things went south with Matt and Trev, I don't know what is. I'd be careful if I were Tucker, I'd certainly make sure that you keep away from any Busses, because you might fall under one. Great video. More entertaining than many. Rory making a dive to save the micro jeep was absolutely special.
Spin doctor review of this video: "Watch Rory Irish and the Taierl Mater team as they recover three Jeeps on one of the toughest trails in Moab. See them run up steep, rocky hills to save the unfortunate drivers. Be amazed as they right flipped Jeeps by hand, and then push them up the hill to safety."
Here's to team Dad, Rory! Should buy him a steak (and some frozen peas for his head and shoulders)! Great crew to have there with you for the mini-Jeep tomfoolery!
It was great seeing Rory on board for this one. Glad everyone made it out OK! So do we have bets on how long it's going to be before Rory makes a mini-Trailmater?
You guys did great there considering all the factors. Maybe should have left the heavier battery in the front. Im glad i bout the jeep with the front mount engine. Makes me curious to know if the front mount engines style jeeps are less likely to roll over backwards? You guys have the land cruiser look front end ad i have the willies jeep looking one. Either style looks super cool but i prefer the front mounted engine. Cool video!
You might've to think about installing some kind of retractable "wheelie bars" to stop them from rolling backwards when climbing steep hills like that. Just to help stop those things from tumbling down those hills with you onboard. I think those karts might've some Bronco's steering components. 😂
Great idea the only thing you guys needed was more power maybe turn them electric but great video. Ive been thinking about buying a lifted golf cart to take to sand hollow i wanna try and take a golf cart up the chute lol. Take what you learned and comeback for Redemption.
Dang! We drove out there in August from MI earlier this year with a two up Can-Am Outlander and we didn't dare it because we though we'd be too off balance. Y'all are crazy but next time we might have to try it out!
Move the rear axle back to reduce back flips. Add another spindle to keep chains shorter and reduce gearing without the need for insanely small sprockets. Awesome stuff dudes. Absolutely abominal, could be better than premium!
Rear engine unlike C90 Adventures so maybe harder to introduce another shaft. Maybe larger final sprocket would be acceptable because of larger tyre (tire) diameter.
Rear engine so may be harder to add a reducer shaft. Maybe a larger final sprocket would be acceptable ,without too much grounding, because of bigger tyres (tires). You will need to cut the rear arches which is sad as it will change the iconic lines. Land Rover bonnet (hood) mounted the spare. Maybe the petrol (gas) can could go on the front as no radiator or air-cooled engine there. These changes would allow for easier raising of the rear lights if the rear fenders are cut as well as helping to reduce back flips.
I would mount the engine to the chassis and move the subframe mounts back and add a reducer shaft on the same axis as the subframe pivots. Maybe flip the rear axle to offset the sprocket to the other side to make way for an intermediate sprocket.
I'm really glad Rory is out with them atleast he is since the other yellow tow people won't give them any shine to help build thier channel some more 🤷♂️
Your advance planning was supurb. Getting Rory to take a day off to catch you even after almost running over him reveals a lot about him. He has to be a shoe in for Mayor of Moab.
This has to be the greatest collaboration in the history of RU-vid! I have tears from laughing so hard 😂😂 Great catch Rory! So some steering upgrades in the next video?
Rory's protective instinct during Trevor's roll was awesome to see. You can't fake that. Thanks for the ton of laughs and smiles! Those first drone shots of the tiny Jeeps on the ridge were hilarious!
