Hey. Lain just did an interview/chat with The Charismatic Voice (Elizabeth) to discuss "Classic Chaos" about Composition and beatboxing. You asked in several video how he was doing his stuff. Figured that could interest you.

I love watching how much fun you have reacting to Voiceplay. They are my favorite acapella group as well. I also like your analysis and demonstrations of what Layne is doing.

Voiceplay is releasing their new video today at noon est.... "Total Eclipse Of The Heart". It is absolutely beautiful.

I love how instead of begging for likes and comments, you model liking and commenting. It makes me want to do it as well.

I only know of one occasion when Layne didn't show his actual beatboxing face, and that was for the strange sound in Dream On. He said it just looked too weird. I haven't heard that he does it as a rule. However, don't be misled by how he looks. He recently did an interview with The Charismatic Voice showing how he adds a lot to his work on computer, adding effects, loops and layering. For Classical Chaos he was working with something like 140 sound channels. No, Earl did others after Queen. That wasn't his last. As Huldra points out. Some people are giving you wrong info. Don't believe evrything you read on the internet :)

Thanks, thisismetoday, for suggesting this fun one! I enjoy seeing younger versions of the crew. VoicePlay has a special love for Disney. Most of the members and guests have worked at the theme park as side hustles (they all have additional jobs outside of VoicePlay.) They're based in Orlando Florida so they're always in contact with talent from there.

I'm sure you were already told this before, but just in case, i believe Layne actually learned to beatbox from Geoff as Geoff was originally the beatboxer in the group when they first started

You should check out I Knew You Were Trouble/ As Long As You Love Me for another really good Layne rap. Check out the ACA Top 10s to see Layne's beatboxing face. I'd noticed his beatboxing looks different in some of their older videos, wasn't sure if it was facial hair, changes that naturally comes with age that caused it to look different, or if he 'muted' the look for videos.
