Thank you for the info! How accurate is the moasure? I have only found a handful of videos on youtube testing out the accuracy (i.e. comparing against hand-measured distances or perimeters). Most videos that RU-vid brings up for my search terms come from moasure’s official channel; it would be great to see accuracy feedback from an independent third party.
It is accurate enough for what I use it for. For me, an extra few feet here or there wont make a huge difference since we do large areas. I am typically okay if its within 5%-10% accuracy. I unfortunately cannot give you solid feedback on how accurate it is down to the inch, since I never need that kind of accuracy.
So basically your complaints are nothing really. The on off thing is best when it's set to roll or twist to turn on rather than tapping. I love this device - worth every penny - I would be very interested in upgrading to the new more accurate version but for me, measuring yards and elevations of yards for pool designs - it's perfect and so fast!!
It all depends what you are doing. Moasure for most applications is still the fastest. The competitor that is faster is Cartha Plot as it is a measuring wheel. However, Cartha does not give elevations (yet). For some cases, lazer meters are faster but they have their issues too.
Thanks for cutting to the chase, I love it when information is compartmentalized and linked to if needed, instead of every video being an all in one assuming you don't know anything.
Many tools are used for different tasks in each trade. Pick which one is suited for each task. Thought it was unfair to say the 6 secs between each point as a downer as Measuring wheel in the truck will come in handy then for straight long measurements.. use the right tool for the right job The device does 500 measurements a sec and at 6secs it must crush the numbers and erase the past numbers I guess. Pretty impressive
Worth feeding back to Moasure. I would think that the on and off thing could or should be dealt with in the App. So need for a button the device itself. Go in the App and start going. Likewise, they could I imagine through a software update do a longer gap, so have your standard as 6 seconds but have an option to do say 12 or 15 seconds but they can then caveat that with the potential loss on accuracy etc. They are responsive to feedback.
One time charge but you need the app. 2 years down the road if company goes it’s a brick since the app goes bye bye too Now this crowd won’t go away but just remember, it can happen when you have hardware and software together. And since it’s an app if can be removed and lost forever.

you have carta plot? I have both moasure and Carts plot. I can tell you they both good. I use carta plot when I have to measure very large areas as you don't have to stop often, neither walk fast as the moasure. However, the moasure shines for small areas and it also includes elevation.
Quick question regarding its exporting capabilities. Are you able to export to AutoCAD in 1D? It was not showing as an option to preview it earlier in your video. Thanks again for your pros/cons input. Agree on the 6secs part.
