My first time in the Big Apple over ten years ago, I learned that even Manhattan sleeps on a cold Sunday night. I walked around looking for a place to eat, and all I found was a pizzeria selling whatever cold slices were left in their display case, lol... I also learned there is a lot of mediocre cuisine in New York, along with the great food, but that it all costs a lot.

@@LateNightCable Tbh, my experience with dining in New York is that it isn't really anymore expensive than any other major city. Back in the '80s and early '90s, I remember eating at Teresa and Mimmo's in Little Italy, NY. I don't believe it exists anymore. Kind of a NY-style, rough-and-tumble place, but the food was spectacular. They had a signed picture of Gotti hanging on the wall. If you didn't tip the waiters enough, they would actually follow you outside and give you hell in Italian. Che disgrazia!

Hey Mike. The best Italian restaurant I’ve eaten in would be Palumbo’s in Canton, Ohio. Just south of Cleveland.

Michael, are you not sometimes worried? Are any of these people still alive? Because you name the murderer and proceed to say "I don't know if they were arrested or not". You think any of them may come after you for that?

I normally don't comment but I keep thinking about in the 80s my Moms gossip magazine i remember how they photo graph you and write about you. I remember how my Dad said you are a really smart person. I think between you being smart not selling out and your true desire to change your life is why you're still here. God has alot for you to do its pretty great that you took your smarts to help. And teach so many not to mention no matter what bringing people to God! God Bless you and keep up great things you are doing! Thank you ! you've helped me so much!!

10:56 ~ I wish the two of you had been successful. A mob-run Security Union would have benefited all the guards. Plus, the trickle effect would mean that nearly all security guards nowadays would be part of a Union. Since that attempt, every effort to unionize security guards in this country has been a miserable failure. Same issue: You get some well-dressed clown going around telling guys how much better off they'd be as part of a Union. But he has no clout, no muscle, no resources behind him. And, he ends up failing because he makes all these promises he can't keep. Guy can't keep his word about all the benefits we'd enjoy, but wants us to immediately give up a significant chunk of our paychecks in union dues; for a future promise of everything he'd get for us. No one wants to hear that nonsense. There are Gentlemens Clubs out there where the "workers" are unionized. But not Security.

For my 30th birthday this past February, I wanted to wow everyone with a nice restaurant, so I took them to Sparks Steakhouse. Great food, and the steak there is ridiculous in size and taste.

I really enjoy watching and comprehend the reality and fiction. As a kid I grew up on a very Italian neighborhood on 21 st ave in Paterson NJ, back in the 80’s there was an Italian cafe, many times I saw people stop at the cafe, very well dressed up in suits, nice long cars, the time about 7pm, no one was ever late or early, everyone was very respectful to each other or the neighborhood. 21 st ave cafe was definitely a spot for friendships besides anything else. Many time I wondered why they greed each other like they haven’t seen each other in months when they do it everyday, same place same time same people.

I had a customer from Los Angelos who visited our plant in PA annually, always planned around the semi-finals of the US Open in the Meadowlands. Every year they wanted to make sure we visited Sparks Steak House in Manhattan, NYC. If I recall correctly, that's where Paul Castellano & an associated was killed. Anyway, never had a bad meal when we went there.

Michael, great video as always There's a steak restaurant here in Phoenix that opened in 1950 and has been frequented by many mob guys and entertainers and it's called Durants on Central Ave. It was originally owned by Jack Durant, who passed away many years ago but it's still operating. Before opening the restaurant he worked for Bugsy Siegel in Vegas. Congrats on your UK trip and have a safe journey home.

That was great to watch. I have always enjoyed your conversation. If you visit England next year, You should visit Gloucester. You should visit Tonno Italian Restaurants. It is very good, classy & you will enjoy it. Also you should visit the Gloucester Cathedral as well which was built over 2000 years ago. It is also the place where they filmed some of the Harry Potter films from the school. Take care & I will always look forward to your videos.

Hey Michael I would have to say the best restaurant I've eaten is Nonna Lucia's in Waterbury, CT. My half sister's aunt owns it and family owned for God knows how long, that's not why I love it but the food is excellent and when ever I go she tells me stories of my father who passed away 20 years ago who like you was my hero and wish I could he had more time with and learned more from him and the stories he had and the advice he gave. God I miss him. R.I.P. dad. Anyway I just recently started watching you and you are always awesome. My last name LaCapra witch means " The Goat" in Italian. Anyway I love your show , keep Tham coming! God bless my friend

I subscribed to your channel when you were just shy of 500k and now your sneaking up on a million subs. Congrats on your continued growth. I love your insight into a world that I only know from the movies. One of my favorite scenes is the long shot of Henry Hill taking his girl through the side door into the basement, through the hallways and kitchen into the club right to the front where they brought him a table and chairs. In your review you said "It never happened, Henry Hill was not that big of a deal." LOL! It was a great scene though. (We miss you, Ray). You mentioned Thomas Dewey in this video. I live five blocks from his childhood home. I checked his wiki page and learned a lot about him that I didn't know. Keep up the good work!

Formerly from the Bushwick section of Brooklyn and Brooklyn in general. I recall when the mobster Carmine Galante was shot dead in a restaurant on Knickerbocker Avenue. I also lived in a section of Brooklyn where men were found dead in the back of car trunks left in the neighborhood in a place we called "the weeds", or dumped in the boat marina waters around Knapp St. and Avenue X.
