Not to burst bubbles but that isnt really true. Mental strength is based on what you experience at the time which is why people in the military have a stronger mental strength than a toddler but if that toddler were to go to boot camp they would deal with a lot of stress due to it being out of a satisfactory range for them combine this with the nostalgia filter (something that makes you see things as better than they were actually) and you get your comment where you think things were truly fine even though it could have been rough for you at the time but easy for you now
