Seeing the last episode I just realized this Op is not talking to the viewer, but Reigen. Now it makes sense that it says "Move, move just like Mob" and "Salt Splash". It makes this Op 100% better.

I damn nearly cried when this started playing, I'm surely gonna miss this show.

I dont watch a lot of anime, I got certain series I love but for the most part a lot of animes just dont do it for me. Mob strikes the perfect balance of not taking itself too seriously, whilst still having depth and I love it for that.

I love how the end of the last opening flows into the intro of the first. Such a small detail, but one that will be appreciated by every fan! A great final send off.

Notice how all the villians aren't just naturally evil. They have their powers and eventually let it get to them and they think they are on the top of the world but they aren't.

A list of fun details/foreshadowings that I understood once I finished the first season: (Spoiler alert, obviously) - The class president’s armband transitioning into the hoodie of that one dude who fought Ritsu and Mob, which then transitions into all the other villains, showing how he is associated with being bad - Something (I’m assuming emotions) making it’s way down the maze from Mob’s brain to his heart, which causes an explosion, showing how when Mob stops rationalizing, he loses it - (My personal favorite) The bent spoons twisting to form Ritsu while all the kaleidoscope backgrounds line up to become synced and display a looming picture of Mob; a great foreshadowing of a minor but significant conflict between the brothers and how it came to be - Hanezawa(?)’s hair falling over a tall cactus to symbolize his later ridiculous wig, to then a shot of his face being blown away by Mob’s unleashed power/form I’m sure there are others, but these are pretty well highlighted in a good way. Tips something off in your head if you start to see a connection, but doesn’t give you so much that you know exactly what it is right away

Imagine some evil, cruel, and so heartless person skips this intro

Funny how the show with plain faces expressed emotion through them far better than most other shows.

Whos back here after watching Reigens BADASS moment in the last episode?

The many things I love about this opening: - It’s wack - The colours are _everywhere_ - The background counting is so satisfying - Actually, all the vocals are satisfying - The animation - The _art style_ - It spoils so much for the show but you won’t even know until you come back, bc everything is just so… crazy and out of context - It’s 100 seconds long - Attention to detail, and there are _lots_ of details - That ending. _That ending._

Notice how both this and season 2's OP end similarly: with Mob in a monochromatic background going 100%, but in one he's alone while in the other his friends are besides him, and in one he can't control the power whereas in the other he can. I think it reflects his development between both season pretty well.

The fact that this op is 100 seconds long makes it even more better

Mob Psycho 100 was truly a once in a lifetime anime. After seeing the watching the final episode I am now convinced that Reigen is the true hero of the series. You can't change my mind.

Back after the season finale and finally realized this is Reigen’s theme. Truly a gem of a show, it’s honestly rare an anime (and shows in general imho) to wrap up in such a perfect way.

What an amazing team of animators you would need to create this... It's literally one of the best examples of high-quality 2D animation I know and it makes me tear up whenever I watch it because it is that good. Both this and the second opening.
