Hey Nicholas great reaction! The girl in the first episode was actually right! Mob usually doesnt show his emotions, because he is afraid of hurting people with his powers. He suppresses his emotions, to keep his powers under control, which is basically the main story element the show focuses on. Looking forward to your next reactions^^

Emi's friend told Mob to 'get a clue' and it didn't phase him. Also even before Mob showed his powers to Emi she was giving with him because of his words standing up for her. Mob is best boy

Just so you know, one of my favorite Mob Psycho gags is the really big pay-off episode 1 brought to the final episode, so my advice is take the gags by heart and you'll surely reap the pay-off in the s2 finale.

The ost while mob restored the novel was absolutely gorgeous.

I really love the fact that in mob psycho really hard to spot the main character in a crowd. Because one of the main themes of the show is "you are not special," so the more normal you look more important you are to the story

damn dude you really went hard on my girl Emi ;; yeah the whole asking someone out on a dare is bad, but Mob rejected her anyway. and you can tell she liked hanging out with him once they actually started talking, because Mob is an incredibly good boy--that's why she told him the truth, bc she felt guilty that he was being so nice to her when she tried to trick him at first. And idk she's 14 and her 'friends' suck and pressure her into doing stuff and make fun of the things she enjoys, to the point where she can't express herself. I really thought their interactions were super sweet and that they taught each other an important lesson about being more honest about your feelings

I remember when I saw the episode 1 of mob psycho season 2. I cried like a baby. I didn't expect I cried because of this Anime.The story telling was truly amazing. Mob is growing up but he is always pure and innocent. That's touching.

for real, I think the thing I love most is when a show front loads itself with shenanigans so you're entertained moment-to-moment, but then takes the full first season to get the plot/character foundations strongly established. I think season 2 is as good as it is because it starts building with all the elements we learned in season 1. all the things we know about the characters come into legitimate use here, and we're seeing it as early as the first episode of the season. Shigeo was really closed off in season 1, because strong emotions equate with strong psychic powers. but being in control of your emotions isn't the same as trying not to express anything at all. that type of repression is actually a surefire way to guarantee that it'll all boil over at some point. so when Shigeo cries while picking up the pieces of Emi's novel... when he talks about deciding to express himself more... that's really significant. Shigeo repressing himself did help him fly under the radar in most aspects of high school socialization up until now... but Shigeo is a very honest person by nature, and it will benefit him to lean into that. flying under the radar might not be a worthwhile endeavor in the first place, and especially if there are important things that Shigeo wants to feel and act on... Shigeo can and should assert himself. we're about to see the benefit of him having made that decision.

So, I just want to say, the fact that Mob was able to put every piece of her book back together perfectly with his powers means that he loved her book so much, he must have memorized it. He really did like her book ^^ In the scene you were talking about where you had to pick out the main character, that you didn’t notice Mob in XD, Emi, the girl in the episode, was actually also standing there next to him XD. Also I don’t know if you caught it, but Emi revealed that Mob turned down her confession, but was still hanging out with her all week. He’s so dedicated to Tsubomi and he is such a good boy ^^ Also I can understand why you don’t like Emi considering she did trick him, but I kind of forgave her at the end since Mob seems to have and she was revealed to have been getting somewhat bullied in her friend group and was able to develop more thanks to Mob. Her ‘friends’ still suck though.

I wish I had the psychic ability to forget Mob Psycho and watch it again for the first time.

Nick idk if you were aware but there are two Mob Psycho ovas. "REIGEN The Miraculous Unknown Psychic" is basically a recap with a teensy bit of extra content. "The First Spirits and Such Company Trip - A Journey that Mends and Heals the Heart and Soul" is an entirely new thing that is best watched at the end of season 2. It isn't required viewing to understand characters but it's a really fun story and I'd say it's worth checking out!

Mob Psycho i think is better thatn one punch man, both are good but yk mob is too good, all seasons are good

Oh no-" *cute moment of Reigen cleaning the dog* *Nicholas moves on, not reacting because he was so all over the place that it went over his head* Always "over-reacting" while missing a lot of the lines meaning some scenes just go right over his head and he never goes back to watch them again. Don't get me wrong, I love his reactions, he's one of the best because he is truly hyped by the shows he is watching and really honest. But I really hate seeing him not get entire scenes from an Anime just because he was screaming in his kitchen about how a character has a weird face while letting the episode play. (I did not mean over-reacting as faking it BTW).

Season 1 was fun time, season 2 is serious time, season 3 is...more serious. (That's how I would summarise it)

Emi actually showed Mob something she really cared about, when her other friends didn't really know much about it. It shows that she had grown to trust and like him. It was shitty that she asked Mob out on a dare, but after that, what are you going to do if you regret that? You can't just keep on lying, right? When the truth comes out, does that mean you're just a bad person no matter what? I don't think so. A bad person would have continued lying to Mob, but Emi didn't. She told the truth. She also told Mob that he should work on having his own opinions on things, and even sympathised with that. That's a far nicer and more supportive thing to say than "get a clue," while still being similar in meaning. She's even criticising her own actions in that moment, by implying that she should have had her own opinion on that shitty dare rather than just listen to her friends. The Emi hate really isn't deserved at all. If anything, her friends are the awful ones. You can't just rip up your friends' stuff because you think it's silly, and it's clear that Emi always has a "mask" on when she's around them, suppressing her real self in much the same way that Mob suppresses his emotions. Of course, we all wear a mask when interacting with the world, but I think it's telling how easily Emi opened up around someone who _doesn't_ treat her like crap, when she can't do that at all around her so-called friends.

Good choice, Mob Psycho is an experience it's best to enjoy slowly, taking it in episode by episode.

FUN FACT - Mob could perfectly reattach the novel as he memorized every word of it. 🥺

Just finished the whole season of Mob Psycho last week and I just want to say this anime is really a golden masterpiece.

Mob Psycho is such a great anime seriously You should also react to "86 : Eighty Six", it is very good And whoever wants to try a french anime, try "Wakfu", it is pretty old, the first season is basically fillers (but it ain't that bsd either), it is childish at first (it was meant for kids, but you'll somehow get an existential crisis at the end and you'll see some dirty jokes, the characters are also dummy thicc), it doesn't seems much like that, but it is really good, Nox being the best vilain in every cartoons/anime ever (he is so well written and his actions makes sense, and he is basically the French DIO), the OST are great, the animation is different from usual but it is really great (especially during major combat when it is just top notch), the characters are cool and goes along well, it is still funny at times, even for adults I think Just try it or atleast look the major fights, because they are worth it

If nothing else I'm always going to tune in to watch Nic bop along to the OST

I love Mob Psycho so much, that I don't want to end it also. And I am telling you, I watched S2 immediately when it was released, and stopped watching it when I reached episode 5 bcoz I cannot end it. I just finished S2 recently when S3 was released. Mob psycho 100 is my home and ultimate anime. It just hits diff and makes me emotional every time I think of it.

It is said that Japan has eight million gods since ancient times. Also, there are a lot of monsters called yokai. To us, they are sometimes gods, sometimes demons, sometimes ghost and sometimes very familiar spirits.
