27yo, Mobb Deep is my favorite group. I tell everyone I see about them. You’d be surprised how many young dudes fw it if you actually play it for them.
TO ALL THE FOLKS LISTENING TO THIS NYC sound. Gritty asf and masterpiece. I live in Australia and my dream is to walk the pavements of the boroughs with Mobb Deep blastin on my headphones. You'll that live in NYC dont realise how lucky y'all are to have such classic birth places to the original sound of hip hop and rap
Yeah man, every time one new little pup finds out about the Mobb and look them up it will give new life to Prodigy and, when he is no longer amongst us, to Havoc as well. Legends like them will never die or be forgotten, those of us that grew up with their music should be grateful, we were blessed. Peace
I love almost every kind of music. And i gotta say, nothing compares to the energy to flows through rap with a beat like this. At least for me, it alway's puts me in a state of mind that is very distinct and different then with other music.
RIP Prodigy HNIC. This is classic. I remember the day I bought the soundtrack for Soul In The Hole and heard the original track. I was blown away. Peace to the 80s 90s hip hop heads. "Live by the sword... and die naturally against all common laws..." Salute from Zimbabwe, Africa.
Man back in 2002 I was a huge 2pac fan, still am… but back then it was west coast ONLY… never listened to jay-z or anything from the east coast. But mobb deep always had a few slots on the mix CD. Much love to these artists.
When Prodigy goes in this mode he's easily top 5 ever.. That second verse is absolute fire...🔥🔥🔥 He also goes blind like this on the apostles warning and self conscience
Thanks for posting exactly my thought. 100% agree woth you. P's verse on Apostles Warning is just mind boggling. I just can't just listen to it once or twice, but so many times and it's been the same for more than 20 years now.
@@dailydpamine by eq'ing out the hi's and mid's and just keep nothing but the lo's and ect. And then also just raise the lo's higher too. Plus then can also add some "sub boost" and "punch" as well. So if you download a bass sound or .wav file, then you can eq it to just hit way harder than it is, as is, just by using a variety of different techniques.
Mobb Deep is forever on a level of hip-hop most will never reach. Every time I listen to their tracks I'm not just hearing some rap,I'm literally feeling and imagining life on the streets of 90s queensbridge. Whether the lyrics are an exaggeration or not doesn't matter. It still conveys a story I can see in my mind. That's quality. It's like the difference between an ADULT book and Cat in the hat.
I've had this song on repeat 🙏 R.I.P PRODIGY MOBB DEEP LEGENDS ! LOVE FROM EAST LOS ANGELES . ONE OF THE GREATEST DUOS TO EVER HOLD THE MIC 🎤 DEFINITION OF HIP HOP ** In addition: Havoc is the most underrated hip hop artist of all time . The man has produced some of the illest grimy hip hop instrumentals of all time and he can spit and flow ! truly one of a kind 💎 respects
Rest in Peace my brother. Today his birthday. He loved the original track, but this remix is dope as well! He was my only crime partner before he died in cancer. I luv u bro forever and we ride forever!
Whats wild to me is the feels a New Yorker gets bumpin this in NYC. The lyrics and beat literally paint the feel of what it felt like. This is essentially a first person account of a real setting in time and space. See you at Nassau Coliseum P
This is one of those songs that you always LIKED...but one day it falls through the surface into your heart and wins you over...playing it over and over without getting tired of it, and I'm not really that way usually..you guys know what I mean...The hauntingly smooth seriousness of this song is ghostly pleasance.
Daniel Talarico It can and is. Plenty of great boom bap beat makers out here structuring beats like this. Underground is where it's at. Kick hat snare ka kick hat snare hat. We keep it Below The Surface! peace luv n beats yo
This is what happens when you let two talented street kids get on and do their own thing when it comes to content. No one ever has and never will come close to what these guys are about. mesmerized 95% of the time. JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ
First Song I heard by Mobb was the sample of shook ones pt. 2 on 8 mile when I was 13 years old. Been a fan ever since, and found this song in 2019, blessed.
