I am so grateful for this video and your content. I am 6 months into my mobile repair journey. I'm wondering what your timeline was for getting to this point. I am just showing up with know how, a scan tool and my subaru wagon jam-packed with tools. I know it won't be like this forever, and I'm moving towards a better setup, but I could use some encouragement of how lo g all this takes to spool up to a point where you felt confident in your setup.

@harveyottotech So it really depends on what you’ve got and your area and your clientele. I started with a pick up truck and the bed set up real nice with tools and compressor and all that stuff. But I couldn’t carry every tool when I couldn’t carry the proper tools the customers didn’t look at me as a professional, because I would have to tell them that I didn’t have the tools to do the job with me and I would have to leave people don’t like that at least the clientele you’re trying to achieve don’t like that. so I wanted to change that so I built the trailer. Now, when I had the pick up truck, I still was running a lawn care. So I wasn’t giving the automotive 100% of my time and I started to notice that, I was too tired after cutting grass all day to go out and work on cars and I was making mistakes. So I decided to sell the lawn care and do something more drastic with Mobile in May 2022 I sold the lawn service and went full-time with the trailer you see in the video and the set up alone showed people what we could do and what we had to offer and it took off like wildfire. Basically, I scoured RU-vid and every other person in my area that was working on cars to see what they didn’t have and they didn’t offer so I built my trailer around that and because of it it took off and now this was way before I did RU-vid or Facebook or Instagram. my client because I became friendly with the auto parts stores and had them hand out my card to people. So I would say the timeframe depends on what you put out and show people great quality work goes a long way to make people trust you, but there is a lot of people out there that look at you in a professional or nonprofessional way you’re the one that just has to deal with which way that you prefer to be. Again, that’s just my opinion, but I don’t know anybody else or see anybody else doing what I’m doing or has the setup I have. So as far as the encouragement, I would encourage you to don’t listen to the naysayers because I do that a lot, and it holds me back. Do not drop your costs for where you think you’re worth because you’re probably worth a lot more than that. There’s going to be a lot of cheap people out there that are going to say you’re too much money and then you’re gonna question yourself don’t. Don’t over charge but charge accordingly. Once you’re ready, and you can invest back into the company do that I have a lot of expenses. It costs me a lot of money to run my company every month, but I chose to lose my profits in order to have the functionality. I’m not looking for cheap quick money I’m looking to build a company that I can eventually grow and change into something else or sell for a retirement money later on down the road in another 15 years. Bit of encouragement don’t wait just keep moving. Get out there hustle do what you Gotta do but also take time off. I do not work past 6 o’clock and I do not work the weekends to work otherwise You will hate it. And next you got this go get it. Back to the timeframe where I say don’t wait. I waited years before I started RU-vid, but I wish I had done it sooner when you stick consistent with something it grows. I was consistent for five months posting and editing four days a week and I just hit my 1000 subscriber Mark the other day and I thought years ago that I would never be able to be on RU-vid or do it and once I just did it it worked

Nice setup! Why not get 2 12V marine batteries instead of the 6V? You'll get a lot more amp hours out of that. The A/C machine is a nice touch! which Hotspot are you using?

Not sure why I didn’t go with the 12 V batteries in the beginning when I built the trailer maybe I’ll upgrade to that later once these batteries are done. My hotspot is just a little AT&T box. I plan to probably go to star link RV set up one day. Where I live is very rural so between that hotspot and my cell phone I usually dont have an issue, but it’s very slow. Thanks for checking out the channel.

I was using my iPhone 14 sometimes a go pro. But now it’s just an iPhone 15. I find it super easy to use and makes editing on my iPad much easier. Thanks for watching!!!

Too much for me let alone being able to get that trailer around a city (Colorado Springs). I drive a silverado with 8 foot knaphiede service bed and suits me well. While i can do it all i just dont want to any more. I focus on roadside, diagnostics, maintenance, small repairs, and try to stay around 1-3 hour jobs. Sometimes i do larger jobs when they have a dedicated garage space or similar though it can mess up my schedule. Ive done two manifold gasket jobs for some good customers this month in driveways and those suck. 2018 durango and 2004 expedition, both with some broken studs. Made me hate life...

Yea I could imagine the trailer will be tough in a tight cities. Sounds like you have a good setup for your area. Is there somewhere I can check it out? Thanks for watching
