It’s a nice box and well put together. I’ve owned a pelican case like this for probably about 20 years now and I’ve used it as luggage traveling all over the country on airplanes. The company has since come out with an actual pelican air line which are much lighter weight cases but this is the one I have. Mine literally has been thrown off the back of the truck While driving down the highway at 50 miles an hour and survived, and I still have it and use it. They offered to replace it but I wouldn’t take them up on it… I like the scars😂 adds character. I have been looking at buying another one to do just what you did here because my existing tool Case doesn’t have wheels. One thing I would want to integrate into my system on probably the bottom layer would be my Milwaukee M 12 impact driver and maybe my M12 drill… Although I might continue caring that in its separate case because of the logistics and how much room it would eat up. I would have to lay everything out and see how things worked out. I just don’t know if I can get everything packed in like I want it. I currently am using a backpack for my primary small kit and I have everything in two or three other kits that stay in the vehicle. It’s always and never ending process. You build something you use it for a while and you find a better way and you adjust.
Defiantly a never ending process. I decided against including my battery tools in my kit because of space and I also use them durning other projects that don't involve this particular tool kit.
It wold be great if you added the tool list and links to the description. Or maybe you could make a online store with comments about your favorite tools? Thanks. Thats a nice kit. Did you buy the case new? If not, where did you look? Surplus?
Good morning from the Great State of Texas. I enjoyed this video. Great idea for tools. Now, where did you get the foam inserts? Or did you make this inserts? Is you box full? Can you add standard sockets and wrenches?.
Hello, I put a link description for where I got the foam inserts. The inserts are made out of kaizen foam so you can make the inserts custom based on what tools you would like top include. My case is pretty full so if you wanted to add standard sockets and wrenches I would get a larger case like the 1560 or the 1650.
Yes, this is the site that I bought them from. Link: kaizencasesandinserts.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0_WyBhDMARIsAL1Vz8vMMPty_8ZmDXE0YnfOLKlUjoGURBbNOKxiOJ5drH5gbARGVIkX-NUaAq65EALw_wcB
Very true, I keep my torque wrench is its own case and bring it along when I need it. Same with a breaker bar. It would be great to have them in the same case but, I couldn't make them fit.
@@contractorscompass I got mine foamed up, and it sits in the back of my pickup. Not a rattle, and not a spec of rust on my tools. Absolutely love pelican for this.
