Hi, you can use propane, but it is not recommended, because propane gas has carbon monoxide emissions release. If you will use propane gas inside, then you may experience the carbon monoxide poison. You cannot use propane inside without proper ventilation.
In the UK, it is prohibited to use propane gas cylinders indoors, nothing to do with carbon monoxide at all, it's just because the gas is contained in cylinders at high pressure which is an explosion hazard in the event of a fire. All new UK mobile gas heaters sold in the United Kingdom are also fitted with a 28mbar butane regulator for UK butane gas cylinders i.e Calor Flo-Gas Birmingham Auto Gas LPG4U and other brands along with a short length of hose.
Hello, as with every gas product, you would need to ensure that the flexible hose is tightened with jubilee clips and perform a soapy water leakage test, before you actually use the heater to ensure that there are no gas leaks. Other than that, if the heater is used accordingly to the instruction manual, it is very safe to use.
