The Reality that Astray has a lot more plots and stories than the original Seed and Destiny series, and all side stories are connected by Characters that appears more than one Side story Wish Astray was an Anime
Brian Javier A gundam series without the focus on overpowered suits? Just on the pilots and customizing suits? With epic Lowe and the very skilled Gai? Yes please. Main series became a bit of a main character fapfest.
Brian Javier Some fans will tell you SEED and DESTINY are the side stories. Nothing in either of them could have happened at all without the events that occur inside ASTRAY and it's storylines.
+destiny1379 Yes, after Athrun self-destructs the Aegis to take out Kira and the Strike, Lowe & Co. find and rescue Kira and give him to Lacus to be tended to.
This was the big highlight of the time I spent playing sd gundam battle alliance when it came up during the mission where you can fight this thing, turn x, zero, and musha. The theme is too good.
I kept thinking this theme sounded familiar, even though I hadn't heard this theme elsewhere since I've yet to watch the Astray OVAs properly. It does remind me of some Role-Playing Game OSTs though, so yeah.
+Ryu Hayabusa (White Tiger) Dude. Stargazer.. Gundam SEED Stargazer was the main even of the whole Cosmic Era timeline.. Too bad the MG Stargazer never made it past the concept stage.
+Ryu Hayabusa (White Tiger) And yet SEED and SEED Destiny are among the most popular Gundam animes in Japan. Why do you think the protagonist's machine in Gundam Build Fighters (Build Strike, Build Strike Full Package, Star Build Strike, Build Strike Cosmos) and Gundam Build Fighters TRY (Build Burning is a hand-to-hand machine mostly based on the Impulse Gundam) are strongly based upon machines from SEED or SEED Destiny? That's why there is so much expansion on the SEED/SEED Destiny universe, it's very popular in Japan.
gamester512 But do you know why it's so popular in japan? You probably don't. In that case, take a look at Japans citizens and then you'll see lol. Can't recall why exactly, but there's a big reason why it's so popular with them. Guess just have to google it. But this isn't Japan. SEED doesn't really bode well outside of Japan. I personally only liked Astray and bits and pieces of Stargazer, thanks to Strike Noir.
+gamester512 That's probably because, from a design standpoint, a lot of gundams in CE are popular (and I can see why, the Strike and Impulse aren't bad, Stargazer is fucking amazing, and I actually really like Freedom, and not Strike Freedom, due to Freedom actually being pretty og, while Strike Freedom is kinda lazy bc it's Freedom with more beam spamming and small extra details), especially the Destiny, which is literally designed to incorporate a ton of things Gundams have done in the past technologically (and ends up being uninspired in the end)
Astray prototype are the 3 M1 astray that got destroyed by Phantom Pain in orb which later mass produced and upgraded as muramasa. also M1 series are refering to strike rouge (like RX7 and GM case), which also refer to strike so we got the ilegitimate proto suspect. ill use program analogy so it was easier to understand prototype mean. it was just like a program that are still on alpha stage and planned to be further developed. and astray frame version are not in this stage
But actually they were mass produced in the form of the M1 Astrays. They were cheap and weak by comparison, but they were still on par or better than a standard GINN. So yeah, it was a prototype.
The initial design for the SD/BB Senshi kit was inspired by the secret lab development version. Which means it will only come with the standard beam sabers, rifle, & shield. If you really want a katana, take one from the Sangokuden series. I took a katana from my SD Choho Gundam.
DX Strider ...If you're going to call an Astray a 'Gundam' because it was based on a Gundam design, you'd have to say the ENTIRE Astray line is a line of Gundams. I guess technically, you could call the Red Frame, Blue Frame, etc. 'Gundams' since they are one-of-a-kind mobile suits. On the other hand, it's really just a highly customized mass-produced mobile suit. Heck, based on your reasoning, you could even say that the Atlantic Federation's Daggers are Gundams since they were based on the Strike's design. It doesn't quite work that way...
After reading Seed Astray, and starting the post timeskip arc of SRW W... I really want Lowe back! His goofy antics are one hell of a light in all of the bleakness of the CE timeline! And in SRW he fits even more!
Actually its the high-performance prototype for the grunt units. The shining finger part is actually a small energy burst that can be shot out of the astray's hands like Destiny. It was modified by Lowe to suit his tastes, so you can't rally call it a modified grunt unit.
The Photon Sphere is actually an energy surge though, the Destiny's Palma Fiocina is actually a straight up beam cannon that Shinn just never uses at any range but Hand On Target for ??? reasons, dude you have a palm mounted weapon, USE IT LIKE WHAT IT IS
The Red Frame's energy plug, unlike the Destiny's short range beam cannon, is not an intentional weapon but instead just Lowe overloading the Red Frame's unique weapons adaptor plug to create a small energy sphere. Doing so actually lead to major damage to the manipulators and ultimately forced Lowe to switch the Red Frame's right arm to a repainted Gold Frame arm (which doesn't have the plugs). Afterwards Lowe never used the energy plug attack again for obvious reasons.
@@syrelianif i remember correctly, the Palma Fiocina have a problem where the beam has a very short time before it gets defused, so Shinn has to use it as a Shining Finger to bypass the problem
@christiandaniel3714 makes sense, I always thought whether it's because it's very short ranged, similar to a taser And considering the amount of armaments on Destiny, Destiny operational time is abysmal. It's just basically Perfect Impulse but 2.0 instead being the same as Perfect Strike. But at the cost of energy consumption. Look at how fast everytime Shinn runs out of power, you can be as efficient as possible le and you still run dry so damn quick. And his palm is probably like a high compressed cannon, similar to a sniper shot, but it's too short ranged and has to use with wings of light to create after images to remotely be effective. But piloting wise, Shinn just always happen to draw Athrun who is regarded as the best pilot in terms of spontaneous combat. While Kira is more of a logical type of pilot, assess and decide his moves. But regardless of whoever Shinn fights, he will lose Vs Athrun and he lose purely to pilot skill Vs Kira and he lose purely to suit diff in energy and speed + rationality (Shinn too reckless and charges too much, he improved in Impulse being efficient then proceeds to downgrade in Destiny) If Destiny had neutron jammer canceller aka nuke reactor. Then maybe the palm cannon be useful, but then again could very well burn out the palm mechanical parts since its not designed with that in mind
@@christiandaniel3714 welp, you're wrong, he shot down Murasame in ep 40 or 41 if im not mistaken with Palma Fiocina and Destiny wasnt spotted closed to that poor Murasame, he did come close to slice down another Murasame using Wings of Light. so your claim is definetly wrong, he just retarded thinking that Palma Fiocina is Shining Finger and pretending to be Domon Kasshu, and it comes to bite him in the end, when he tried to parry Infinite Justice's Beam Saber using that instead of Solidus Fulgor Beam Shield
Say that again when you see Heero from Gundam Wing survive a nuke explosion. Just because Heero was genetically engineered doesn't mean he'd survive blowing his Gundam up.
***** Good Point, but the detonators were on vitals like the engine and computer systems. That could have caused a small but "nukey" explosion, if I may be mistaken.
max masterson are you serius ,, the only mobile suit that ive know have a nuclear reactor just , freedom, justice, providance gundam, strike freedom gundam, and infite justice gundam , the legend and destiny both of them just have batery for the energy resources ... check episode 41, or 42 in gundam seed destiny
well modified have a lot of meaning actually, though what i mean by modified is not like ginn or zaku variant (sniper, desert, cannon, etc) but simply personal customized unit like Gouf custom, Zaku 2 Kai (Jhonny char giren dorzul, etc) and nope they are not a prototype they are not planned to be mass produced
Ashley Knight Yup but thats just a short animation, Im talking about an entire series, or just make an anime series focusing on Astray characters, Specially Gai and Lowe which appears almost all Astray Mangas Additional characters like Jess Rabble, Edward Harrison, Ergnes Brahe, Trojan Noiret, Prayer Reverie, etc
Need Lowe in a SRW again. Hopefully without having to drag Kira and the rest of the SEED nerds into it if at all possible. If not, at least not the SEED Destiny nerds.
+LCD LSD W was great... i love how it has a good handful of the series that i watch (and W is my initial 8D, if only gaogaigar and astray was in Z... jesus)
Angela van Erp you say that but the actual features of it are highly advanced, it has an incredibly mobile frame, advanced operating system, and a very skilled pilot. Yeah, it's no Nu Gundam, but it's not lame by any meaning of the word.
