I love how they actually show a bit of battle doctrine here, they sent out an advance vanguard with high mobility as well as high powered long range beam weapons. This is much how in real life a carrier group would send out interceptors to gauge enemy forces strength and numbers. Then they took beam fire at range so they deployed Minovski particle missiles which negate ranged beam attacks which they almost never show outside the original anime/manga. A very nice touch I must say as it forces Frontal closer where they try to range him down once he is out of the first cloud of particles. All of this shows a developed course of action concerning a foe with beam weapons and MS interception strategies. It's so much better than a static mass of grunt MS just buzzing in a straight line at him and it really sells a realistic military action. Granted realistically one guy fucking up a whole compliment of fighters/MS is kinda out there but it really shows his skill narrative wise and the threat he poses to the heroes.
Agreed, while the fed suits were kinda mid in their performance (they have high mobility transformables that just sit still and don't try to dodge) it was clear they were responding to him in an organized way. It also helps sell Full Frontal's skill as a pilot that we see other Neo-Zeon suits try to solo Federal forces like he does (like that Geara Zulu in episode 1) and they get wrecked.
This scene was the most awesome highlight of Char that the original could never do. And this clone would have given Amuro a run for his money. And what would Sayla have thought of this guy.
@@tahirahmad9645 In the battle alliance game, you can see interactions between frontal and amuro. CCA amuro doesn't even see him as char's equal and just see him as a troll, basically telling banagher to stop feeding the troll by responding to everything frontal says, lmao.
@@tahirahmad9645 I doubt it. Going up solo against multiple grunts was a normal thing for CCA Char and Amuro. And the Char wasn't able to defeat Amuro even when he had the superior MS back in CCA.
@@arthurabogado5054 Am not sure. It's been so long since the last time I watched CCA. But I remember that back then,Char didn't go serious against Amuro until he got a proper MS to fight him. And the Nu's funnels were better than Sazabi's
I love that little bow Angelo does to Full Frontal after he’s done. A sign of respect and deep admiration, for the battlefield belongs to the Second Coming of Char!
I remember that Char was angry at how Haman raised Minerva as a close-minded person. It really is nice how these characters developed into empathetic ones.
This is one of my favorite flex, the general revil, being hyped as the pride of the federation and what will let them retake space superiority, get driven away but 2 suits XD
Unicorn does a great job of showing how terrifying Newtype pilots can be. And then goes off the deep end of ridiculous nonsense with the powers of Unicorn and Banshee.
Man i kinda hate those thing, at the original gundam newtype just like they have better talents to pilot the ms and learn faster than the normal human, thus granted them better reflexes and movements as the series progress... but now things just become dragon ball
@@lild3838 tbf the entire premise of uc was based around those powers, could they have replaced it with something else? Sure. But it wouldn't have fit as well with the narrative they were going for.
Lol see any other uc or any fucking main gundam anime ? I assure you main char and main gundam of the show always like that and unicorn is the strongest of uc so how can they aren't strong? Want some stupid ending like barbatos which is lost continue lost from the fail battle in mid show, boring as fuck from that point to watch just to know that they will lose only
@aya-7001 You didn’t even read his comment. Nothing you said makes any sense relative to what he said. What he said of newtypes is true. What he said of Unicorn going DBZ is also true. You’re not making any sense.
Things that interests me in Unicorn: - Grunt suits actually try to fight back instead of hovering/firing aimlessly then explodes. - Shields are actually functional. - Zeon are victims of war like the Federation as well
I was just thinking that FF was being surprisingly generous this battle, only going for much harder disabling shots as opposed to outright dropping everyone.
It's because they're trying to get on the good side of the Nahel Argama's crew, at least for the time being. And since they are still Federation, they wont make a good impression by killing other members of the Federation in front of them.
@@orangeyellow9695 come to think of it, look at his best friend, Athrun. Who does Athrun reminds you of? Look at that hair length, his father's position in the government. Does this remind you of someone, someone Casval claim to never betray? Not to mention Kira has a sister whom he's separated from. Guess who else separates from his sister and then meet again in later years during a war no less. Destiny would've been better if Neo Roanoke was Kira. Wearing the mask is a sign that Kira now finally understands Rau.
This Frontal dude turn out to be kinda good guy. Not only he talks in chill manner, but also he doesn't aim for kill the pilot. He just disable the suits or force-eject the pilot
Literally the best leader any iteration of Zeon ever had, and the only one who never resorted to Colony Drop tactics. He actually had a decent plan, for once.
Same. I remember the wait between Episode 6 and 7. Was in my third year of HighSchool at the time, still can't believe we're reaching 10 years with the end of this OVA series.
When i saw 2:39 Sinanju open thruster and charge towards i wish i could send a message to Federal "RUN PLS, i saw something incoming before you see it"
