I know people say the plot to Gundam Wing is convoluted. This show is about the politics in a war torn era, which is about as convoluted as you can get
When I first saw it as a kid the plot appeared convoluted; all I knew was that the Gundam pilots and their allies were the good guys. I then rewatched the entire series during my college years- the plot didn’t appear convoluted at all, lol. Then again, a good example of how politics makes a mess of things.
@@modernsophist belive it or not that is how the series became great kids watch it and see awesome mechs and fights. An adult can see the deeeper meaning behind the plots and characters. It is a series for everyone.
While its probably in part Nostalgia, Wing will be in spite of its somewhat weak animation in places (cause that 90s budget) is probably the Gundam which has aged the best out of any of them, and it is certainly my favorite.
it's mainly because the staff was already overburdened with 1-2 other projects before Gundam Wing was dropped on the team. It wasn't necessarily the budget. They did what they could and still managed to rank high, Sunrise pushed back other shows just to allow Wing to air as it gained pretty strong traction later on.
