I do a lot of films, And I totally understand this color correction for this kind of film. The original footage was probably much brighter and they wanted to tone it down to make it more in that sad slow mood.

You guys are awesome. I've been watching all your videos (as I saw your radioactive behind the scenes with lindsey stirling) and I must say you are true film makers. I love the opening alley shot where is says mobsters, it starts the video off with such a cool feel!

I've watched many vids with this "anti-noir" style. By the explanation (add video and music) I feel the "simple way of life" that the movie shows and the monotony linking with the sadness (not analyzing the music letter) Thank you for the explanation!

Everyone keeps talking about the color grading of this video and I was wondering if this some kind of "cross processing" technique. I've seen this style a lot lately and I'm not too sure what you'd call this type of color grading!
