I totally forgot to mention the camera angle is adjustable. We can move the "tail" screw point to increase and decrease camera angle. In my flights there is one "notch" to increase angle and two do decrease angle. Sorry I didn't cover this. 🤦♂
I use affiliate links when I remember to. I don't think the issue is the links, it is if the person providing them is genuine. And you are, Nick! You are providing honest opinion and the links are there if people want to support providing such info.
Yup. If someone gives a good honest review, what they like, what they don't, etc... and that helped me make up my mind, the affiliate link is totally cool. If someone is just saying whatever they can in order to get me to buy something, link or not... shady. Not that any of that would ever happen in this hobby. ;)
@@NickBurnsFPV I know you love to do it because you'd be flying anyways, but I also know that you have to do a lot more work to share the knowledge you gain with us.
@@GR8SCOTT Yes, I have had a long love for RC, but fpv has held my attention and enjoyment the longest of the RC adventures. sharing is hard for me to have true topical sharing. I find sharing product experiences an easier topic....al be it less creative 🤣
I bought my mob6 in January and did the same than you with soldering a bt2 pigtail. Unfortunately, we are several whoopers on reddit who ran into problems after that change (throttle getting out of control and quad shutting down mostly at the beginning of the flight when the battery is full). Seems like the previous model was not made to handle such powerful bt2 batteries or PID not adapted to it. Let's hope that this new one does.
Hi Nick, love the new light up gates. I can see the edges a lot better. I think that are my next investments (lol… mother calls it my time out of her hair stuff) thanks buddy maybe I’ll not crash into her nice chairs and table so much. She will be happy with ya. Any way thank you so much for taking the time to make these you tube movies you are appreciated. God Bless you and yours. Sincerely, Other Pops Post Script: say hello to the Mrs. and kids and let them know that they are appreciated also for giving up their time with you so you can do this work for all of us.
Thank you. I think the gates add a bit of flair and maybe even make it more fun to fly. They do come at a price. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like mobillygates.com is still operating. I will let the family know they are appreciated as well. Thank you for being so thoughtful
Hi Nick, Great video and review of the Happymodel Mobula 6 2024, I still have and fly my mobula 6, but I could use a newer version. Thanks again for the video and information about this quad.
That first rip was spicy! 🔥🔥 Affiliate links are fine, as long as you are making a review and not a commercial. You test for weeks not justin hour. Awesome prop remover suggestion I have to share, Wiha 26810 5.7-Inch Precision Chip Lifter. 😅It changed my life!
No, I am not running from affiliate linking...I do from time to time remind all that its not something I am reliant on and that everything in the video can be found with traditional web searches or as I sometimes say "googlefoo".
Thanks for the review on this. Been looking forward to your perspective on this whoop since it’s been out. Can’t wait for the hdzero version review and hope we can see a whoop round up comparing this to the new lite betafpv frames and offerings. Thanks Nick!
@7:56 I have a similar issue that happens sometimes with one of my quads that has the older HM 2.4 ELRS Whoop AIO FC. Whenever I do turtle mode to flip over sometimes it won't take off after rearming. When I've seen this happen it usually seems like one of the motors either isn't spinning or spins in the wrong direction and I have to flip back to turtle mode, arm/disarm and then go back to non-turtle mode for it to resolve and be able to take off.
That could be it. I will have more time with it as I work on PIDs and then switch it over to 75mm. Hopefully it was a 1 time issue, but if it repeats the symptom I will certainly report it as I might make videos on better PIDS or 75mm conversion.
Yes, we needed a refresher, but I am concerned there isn't much more that can be done to lower weight and make them better. Have we reached the whoop pentacle.
@@NickBurnsFPV might be a good thing. If you can buy a race spec whoop off the shelf maybe it will increase the motivation to be more outgoing with the flying. After all it looks to me like there is a lull in flying, not in product choice
@@Timboslicce Ah yes, agreed we have so many choices is can be head spinning. I know I have a very hard time mentally keeping track of the stuff that has come out in just the last 90 days.
Once they make one with analog fpv footage but digital recording i gotta buy one, how do they even do that tho? Digital vtx and analog camera or something?
Nick: From what I see analog will be ELRS I already have a $200.00 Desk ornament Tiny Hawk 3 & Radio Master on My QX7 screwed around for hours could not get either on them on Wi Fi or to bind. I will stick with TBS so simple and works fine for me. Sadly, with the cheap cost ELRS is here to stay. Ben Herr
Hi Nick! Thats a really nice new mob6! I think happymodel did a good job. The new cam does good in the led light. And it does freestyle : ) he had put the karate tune on it does great.O wauw we can now just update the elrs reciever thats a big plus thats awesome. I see this one more as a pro version.....
yea, the soldering and high kv does make it lean towards the more experienced. I am hearing the karate tune works well. I will have to give that one a go....probably first.
Yes probably do that first 😊!!! Have fun flying!!! Do you think there will be a mob7 pro like a Freestyle edition? That would be awesome! I recommend the rcinpower 0802 27000Kv : ) @@NickBurnsFPV
@@airdevil21 I don't have any official word on a 75mm version and I haven't asked. I keep my manufacturer communication pretty bland. In my estimation there will be, but it could be 3 or more months. They have done this same sort of path in the past.
@@NickBurnsFPV Oke I will just be patient and see what they will come up with I hope it's an absolutely awesome pro mob 7. I do like what they did with this new canopy and frame!
those bnf's becomes better and better! still think Caddx Ant Lite is superior if you're looking for the best video quality for its weight, although it's not the lightest. but 1200tvl makes a difference
I have a mobula7 1s and that thing with the "leaf" 7:53 it happens to me too. It seems like when you arm it too fast after the turtle mode it happens. You just got to arm it again an all works fine. Im not sure if thats a bug or sth idk🤷♂️
Great review. I’m not a fan of the Runcam Nano 3. Though it might be lightweight I have some serious purple hue on both sides of the screen. This is with two different Runcams. Glad to see a new camera.
yea, the image of the runcam nano 3 isn't a favorite. I have a bias to lower weight and more whoop performance over image quality. I wonder if before I aged and my vision when down if I would have been different.
Nice updates and big camera there. It looks pretty sweet. Take a bit to get use to the new canopy. Guess theres something new to look for when my current 6 packs it in, maybe as parts for that price. Thanks for the review.
Thank you for another great whoop review, but people are complaining more and more about diagonal white lines in the video. As it seems your model was not affected by this or you haven't highlighted it. For me it is quite annoying and thinking about returning my mob6 2024. Besides that the camera quality is very bad regarding light sensitivity, white balance and wobbling, especially outdoor. Compared to a C03 with almost the same weight, this cam is a nightmare and definetely not state of the art in 2024. Maybe you could do a video with a closer look at these problems. Would appreciate it very much. Thanks!
I can't say what people are experiencing is wide spread or not, or it could be they are flying in rough RF environments. With mine not showing these signs and the one person that has sent me DVR I can't confirm this is an issue or a perception issue. I recommend flying Raceband 8 as it has the least possible interference and I made a video on my video setup and that video is linked in the description.
@@NickBurnsFPV this will be the first bnf ive bought in a long time and I'm definitely looking forward to it. Never had a higher performing 65mm whoop- only standard mobula 6s with 19000kv.
well there are multiple aspects to that comparison. The 65 pro has 35 mm props, so it tend to fly more like a 75mm whoop than a 65mm whoop. This makes it more challenging for some to fly inside, but flies better outside than a 65mm. Also 35mm props are somewhat rare. The 65pro also uses a battery tray made for 65mm whoop batteries like 300mah, so the flight time can vary pretty widely depending on the flight style. Better, the mob6 2024 will be more indoor friendly and the 65pro fly better outside.
So crazy u just posted this. Last night like 12am i was shopping building 65mm pro lightweight 35mm props. Wanted more kV on motors.. Maybe i just do this 31mm one The battery A30 have a wire lead so not an issue on kink
100% I still fly analog primarily, probably because I fly inside alot and my favorite micro is 2s 2inch analog. We just can't get the same performance on micros with HD weight added.
@@NickBurnsFPVcouldn’t agree more! I just love analog and it’s so easy to assemble a micro with these 5 in 1 boards. Everyone pretends analog looks horrible while it’s actually really good because we now have such good cameras for analog.
@@doodgeslagenmug I often wonder if we have a group of fpv pilots that started during the invent of HD fpv. This leads to the thought of analog being so bad.
@@NickBurnsFPV I started fpv in 2022 with the Tinyhawk 3 of which i also watched a video of yours and back then i didn’t think analog looked that bad at all. And when i got it in real life, i was actually impressed how good it looked in the goggles for such a small quad in analog. Looking back on how these older analog cameras were (like on the tinyhawk s), yeah that looked bad. I can understand people who got into HD around the bad analog camera time never looked back. Too bad because micro’s are secretly the most fun :)
@@doodgeslagenmug ah I see. So can I ask what made you go with analog and the tinyhawk rather than something bigger and digital? Obviously I agree micro are so fun and don't draw attention, safer and if needed don't require RID.
My smile was related to the current ongoings, but I do from time to time like to remind anyone that doesn't like affiliates that a web search is a perfectly good solution.
@@modquad18 One aspect I was thinking of including was an fov comparison, I did such a poor job getting that together I cut it out in frustration. Maybe I can try again, or someone else will. I think skittlefpv did an fov comparison on the hdzero version....maybe I missed his analog camera comparison.
Tune seems a bit high and/or filters are too low because I see occasional switches. Overall, I’m happy to see something new to the market, especially this new AIO board. I hope it’s more reliable than the Diamond board but that’s almost guaranteed! 🤣
I have a 65mm with a diamond board and I just think it just doesn't want to play nice with any motor, frame or prop combo. Quite interested in this when its released despite myself also preferring the 75mm platform.
The 5A EEW MOSFETS that 95% of whoop AIOs use wear out super fast for me, especially when using higher KV motors and turtle mode. I try to keep track of the FETs resistances and usually change all 12 every 3 months or less. Once the resistances start diverging, performance tanks noticeably in a couple of dozen batteries. By your description… this is possibly your issue.
@@lemonsquareFPV I would agree with you if it wasn't a brand new board. The new happy model diamond boards are not worth the risk of getting a bad one.
do tiny whoops normally have this fisheye view, it kind of makes the drone feel too big to my eye which is not what I want when flying a tiny drone. Also seemed out of focus to me but is that just normal for tiny drones?
for inside flight we often want the largest fov we can get as that allows us to see more and therefore avoid hitting things inside. Yes this is pretty normal.
About the a30 connector, I genuinely wonder why we're shifting to the battery having a hard-mounted connector. I liked the batteries where there was a seperate lead. If the issue was that the leads ripped off when unplugging, isnt it possible to just apply some hard adhesive compound on the battery's terminals? Almost all my whoop builds with the battery strap going down and batteries that have hard mounted connectors ends up needing to be so much longer than it needs to be.
Sorry. not trying to play into the drama. I probably laid it on a bit thicker than I normally do. I do, from time to time, try to remind everyone that web searches are good alternative to links. I often wonder if google has affiliates to every site on the internet. :)
They can be useful if we want less overall thrust, performance and flight time. which can help especially inside with throttle management and control, or if we want to shoot smaller and smaller gaps. Otherwise I much prefer 75mm whoops.
I’m just laughing with everything that’s been going on lately with a couple of channels that will not be named. I know you have a full time job and don’t worry too much about the affiliate stuff. Great review as always!
@@Wildest_Wahoo Yes, it is nice to not have that stress, the channel funds stay in fpv. Either sponsoring events, donating to fpv software development, paying for giveaway shipping etc.....
Indoor flying is not so good in Germany. We have signal Problems becurse our Building made of Stone and Concrete and not made of american Cardboard. And I wondered why your buildings always fly away by light breezes
This is a good overview, but there’s still information that the racing community would really like to see… like weight of the FC itself, VTX power output accuracy (25mW), gyro/receiver/VTX durability (also, new Betaflight target or existing one?)
I will keep these in mind as I word on seeing if I can come up with better pids. I know I won't be able to the measure the vtx output, I don't have the immersionrc meter, but other items seem doable.
No worries! I know myself and many others have been waiting for this, hoping for an improvement of current FC quality, but the things I’ve mentioned are the common concerns. Appreciate the content that you provide!
Thank you. We are lucky enough to live in the midwest US where real-estate is pretty cheap and we have made many improvements over the years. Like life it's all a work in progress. Kitchen still needs a remodel from the 80s cabinets....or at least my wife wants to target that sometime.
@ElectricFpv remind me, is that one the metal whoop frame? Or maybe the metal frame one is the snapper65. Sheesh my memory doesn't dial back all that well 😅
Hi, What would you recommend me to do if I have my own set of motors which i am happy to use but want something that will still fly well I am not afraid of building
I don't see a question here. Build something I guess. You have motors and have commented on a whoop video. I presume the motors are motor typically for whoop. Based on this information i don't have a recommendation.
Do you find that the batts without pigtails are harder to plug into the quad?. Also have you done any mods to your zorro for longer batter life? Thanks as always one of the only reviewers i trust
Other than the struggle to get the battery pushed in as I did in the video, no real pain point. Batteries with battery wires are more flexible for sure, but we have yet to see these flat cell 1s with a battery pigtail. Maybe one day.
@@Euwanh85 true but I don't find those batteries to perform as well. I have been asking GNB to make or find these flat cells to offer under their brand. That would help whoopers globally be able to get high quality batteries.
I don't specifially have one in mind. the DC connection is, DC(5.5*2.1mm) with input voltage range of 6v-26v. I would expect there to be a wide variety availble for various products.
I think the fatshark scouts come in two versions. Hdzero and analog, this quad requires analog goggles. It does not come with batteries to my knowledge. Check the product pages package contents.
My camera died after 5 minutes of gentle crash free flight. I'm sorry but that's just not normal. I'm so disappointed, I'm starting the return process. I can't justify putting parts into something that died in 5 minutes without crashing.
Hey Nick! Have you had a chance to try out the Quad Gas flat cell batteries yet? They look the same as the webleed/tiny whoop ones…also, about how many cycles do your quality 1s batteries last before they start to sag out? I seem to only get about fifteen to twenty good runs out of them.
Oh interesting, I have not heard of Quad Gas. I will have to look up that brand. Unfortunately I can't give a number before the cells start to sag out....only a guess The 16 new batteries I show in the video have got to have at least 20 flights on each at this time. I didn't see or notice any performance degradation yet.

@@NickBurnsFPV I think it’s specifically the new folded cell “Lava” batteries. I’m not 100% on this. Just something I saw on a Reddit post that listed the actual manufacturer of those cells and all the companies that sell them. To my knowledge, there’s only one manufacturer of those 300mah 75C folded cells.
@@calebthomasralph yes, I have been told by resellers there are only 3 lipo manufacturers, everything is just branded from those three manufacturers. The folded cells very likely only come from the 1 of the 3...I haven't asked that specific question.
Hey, can I get detailed picture of the AIO top and bottom. Our local group ordered 10 to 13 and they all have motor noise lines in the video. Trying to figure out If there is a component change on the board that's causing the noise.
Could you figure out if there is a component change or what causes the issue already? I have the same problem with white diagonal lines when the motors are running. Maybe a capacitor in the powerline of the cam could help or another camera.
@@matt_mega no resolution. Check and confirm motor 2 is the source of noise. We used a scope and could not find dirty control power. We think there might be a FET too close to the video signal area. I thought I saw a new revision of the AIO with motor plugs. That may solve the issue.
@@ryannair8761 The question is why was the first batch not affected or why has no early reviewer detected and mentioned the issue. Did HM change anything from the first batch to the latest batch on the v1.0 superx aio or the cam? The v2.0 aio has gotten a layout change as you can see on their website. This may solve the issue but is no solution for the actual owners of the mob6 2024. Hopefully there will be an official statement and workaround how to get rid of the noise otherwise there will be a lot of unhappy customers. :-(
@@ryannair8761 Did you find out anything new about the noise issue? The lines getting weaker with lower voltage levels below 3.6v in my opinion. I guess it's caused by harmonics of the esc pwm signal from the front right motor. Twisting the camera wires doesn't help.

Hey, My analog FPV setup has decent range, but sometimes the video in my googles starts to randomly drift to the right and gets black/white sometimes. After a few seconds my Skyzone Sky04X beep once and the video signal is perfectly finde again. This happens super randomly, completley independent on how far the drone is away from me... Also don´t think its a overheating issue... Any tips on what to do? I need the video signal to be reliable, since i´ll use it for a fpv-job!
@@NickBurnsFPV alright, thank u so much! I´ve noticed, that the problem doesnt appear on my fpv screen, so its propably the googles! Just weird cause i didnt change anything in the googles for years:)
Oddly, a picture frame. I knocked into it and it fell off the wall breaking the glass. I go new glass for it....I think it was maybe $12. The pictures are on the wall with command strips. Not the most secure...they fall off on their own sometimes.
that is a rough question. I have seen them last 2 minutes or more, but really it depends on the heat. I accidentally flew an AIO without the vtx antenna, I noticed the video wasn't as good, and when I finished the flight and brought it in I noticed the antenna was gone. It was fine after I replaced the antenna. So we were flying outside in the heat or worse sitting on the ground powered on without antenna I would hope it would last 2-4 minutes without damage, but not much more.
