Ok, on the Penny thing everyone keeps bringing up, it is 100% possible for that level of skin colour difference between a parent and a child, it does not necessarily mean she’s adopted. Their mother is shown to have a light skin tone in Peony’s Trainer Card, and Penny is living that “the sun will kill me” gamer life, her having a light skin tone is both plausible and makes sense considering her life style.
