In this video, I pretend to be your CFI or DPE who has assigned you a cross country flight to talk about. I ask questions, and you can either hit pause to answer if it's lengthy or answer immediately. Best of luck!
This was a great exercise, thank you! I'm training in Minnesota so it was great to practice route planning with unfamiliar terrain, map symbols and topographical details. This built confidence in what I know but also reminded me of a few things I'd let slip since passing the written/ground school. I am going to be returning to the video, but as importantly, am taking the example for other scenarios more likely to be on my check ride oral. Thanks a lot for posting. Not entirely sure what to make of the comments asking for answers - the whole point of this being on the oral exam is to make sure you can either speak to these or know where to look them up/review them if needed. But I imagine if you are early in your training you want this info? Anyway, I just wanted to validate that for your stated objective - practice partial check ride oral - I think this is perfect as is.
Hi Christopher-Would it possible for you to 'fly' this cross country flight in a follow-up video? It would be really helpful to collate all the information in one place-I've found a lot of these sectional how-to's don't encompass ALL the information that you've created here in this flightplan?
