16:03 William William Molyneux. Molyneux's problem is a thought experiment in philosophy concerning immediate recovery from blindness. It was first formulated by William Molyneux, and notably referred to in John Locke's An Essay Concerning Human Understanding (1689). The problem can be stated in brief, "if a man born blind can feel the differences between shapes such as spheres and cubes, could he, if given the ability to see, distinguish those objects by sight alone, in reference to the tactile schemata he already possessed?" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molyneux%27s_problem

7:00 Snellen Chart. A Snellen chart is an eye chart that can be used to measure visual acuity. Snellen charts are named after the Dutch ophthalmologist Herman Snellen, who developed the chart in 1862.[1] Many ophthalmologists and vision scientists now use an improved chart known as the LogMAR chart. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snellen_chart
