After seeing a picture of a modded Build A Bear on Reddit, I decided to try and have a go.
I'm a collector and have never seen the point in modding the bears because....well...They're not real / spoiled / not original, however you want to describe them.
Anyway, gazing upon the modified Pawlette I saw, I found myself for the first time having feelings of Love at First Sight and was compelled to have one for myself (coughs and kids). Here is my first of a few videos that I made with all the wrong decisions I made, the first bad choice was dyeing 4 at the same time as you will see in this video, the second was using the WRONG dye. I will be uploading more video's as I progress through this experience to hopefully help others. I see a few modded bears on Reddit but never the Modder, one would assume that it's because the Modder would have to charge for....The bear, the dye, the eyes. Each dye cost me £8.30 here in the UK. Eyes which you will see in a later video are £2.50 for a pair from Darkside Crochet + postage of £4.50. I bought 4 pairs as I was doing 4 bears so the postage seemed fair.
